About the Homestay
Myself and my daughter live in our spacious refurbished apartment over 2 floors. The apartment is close to Bournemouth town and beaches (20-30 minute walk, 5 mins by bus / car), and very close to Winton and Charminster shops, restaurants and bars (5 minute walk).
We have 4 bedrooms, the guest bedroom is a spacious single room with bed, wardrobe, storage and desk. There is large family bathroom with bath, and separate shower. Plus a separate en-suite toilet / washroom on 2nd floor.
We have all facilities including internet, washing machine, dishwasher, oven etc. There is also a lovely garden.

About the Area
Our apartment is situated just outside Bournemouth Centre and walking distance to Bournemouth beach. We are very close to bus stops and the shops, restaurants and bars of Winton and Charminster. It is a 20 minute drive to the airport.

Natalie is polite and was very responsive when I made my booking and leading up to my arrival. Her daughter is charming and also polite and we had a few nice chats. This was a nice calm home on a quiet street. I would recommend this homestay to someone independent who enjoys space and privacy.
I stayed in the room on the 2nd floor (3rd floor for my US friends :)). This was an attic room with a W.C. right next door the shower being down one flight of stairs. The room has a twin bed and an armoire with shelves and hangers for clothes as well as a desk and a skylight that can be opened. On a hot day it could get a little warm up there - so would recommend bringing a fan if you'll be there for a long stay in summertime. And if you like your electronics perhaps a multi-outlet adapter since there is only one outlet in the room.
Though it is listed as non-smoking I do believe one of the other boarders was smoking in her room - this wasn't too much of a problem for me as there was usually a good breeze through the window in my room - but for someone with allergies, asthma or who is exceptionally sensitive to smoke it wouldn't be ideal.
I was in town to attend a class at Art University Bournemouth on the Bournemouth campus and when I wasn't running late it was a lovely 30 minute walk to class. There are plenty of stores within 10 minutes walk. And at either end of the street two "main drags" with restaurants and shops.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
