About the Area
Shelley Manor is just at the end of the road, built in the 1860s by the famous Shelley family, the theatre was intended to be the home of Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein. Today, it seats 150 people, creating a cosy, intimate atmosphere.
Famed for its picture-perfect seven miles of sandy beach, Bournemouth has a vibrant nightlife, a plethora of water sports, fantastic shopping and many delectable eateries, as well as a Premier League football team. Home to nearly 190,000 people, the town is highly praised as having the ‘fastest growing digital economy in the UK’.
The New Forest National Park is on our doorstep and the Jurassic Coast (which is a World Heritage site) is just a short drive away. Plus we have our own international airport with return flights to Europe for less than the cost of a train ticket to London. We are just two hours from London (with direct trains to Waterloo every hour).
I would be happy to spend some of my time to help with practicing my guests English or teaching sewing craft. I have a BA (hons) in Fashion Studies and have tutored young people for over ten years, however I do not hold a recognised qualification for teaching English. I also have a GCSE French qualification, which may be helpful.
