We live in a lovely neighbourhood 20mins walk from central Brighton with woods and countryside on the door stop and a good bus services into town and to the university of Brighton and university of sussex.
There are an array of local shops, cafes, supermarket, bakery, greengrocer.
It’s a safe and family friendly area and we have a communal garden on the street and free parking.
The room is a small single room and has everything you need. There is also a double room if you prefer a double bed and more storage. I am a nurse at the local hospital and share my home with an affectionate little cat. I have a nice garden which you are very welcome to use and enjoy eating alfresco when the English weather allows!
Buses run from outside my home to the city centre every 15 mins, and 5 mins up the road they run every 5mins. You can walk to the city centre in 20mins, all down hill.
I welcome female house guests in full time education / employment.

About the Area
Our house is located in a quiet street which is a 10 min bus journey from the city centre or a 30 min walk. There are plenty of local shops and restaurants 5min walk away, there is also a beautiful forest 3 min walk away.
The 50 u bus stops right outside my house and goes directly to both universities, which is a 15-20 min journey and it runs every 15mins.
Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

Be considerate of others and clean up the kitchen and bathroom after yourself.
Please do not invite strangers into my home; if you would like to invite a friend over please agree it with me in advance.
Kitchen closes at 9pm.
Kitchen can be used for one cooked meal a day and can be used for sandwich’s etc and drinks at other times. Meals and drinks to be consumed in dining area not in bedrooms.
Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm monday to friday.
Do not put anything on the walls or door of your room. Pins, tape, blue tak white tak etc.
Non smokers only.
Payment Method: Please note that we require our guests to pay the balance in full on day of arrival
Cancellation Policy: Any shorten stay won't be refunded.

My time at Julia's place was just perfect! Julia is an amazing host and a lovely person in general as she was super helpful and considerate during my entire stay. I felt welcomed and comfortable the moment I met her! The room was super cosy and had everything I needed. Her home is located in a very nice neighbourhood with a nice park, a supermarket and restaurants nearby. The bus stop to the city centre is on the other side of the street. I would love to come back to her the next time I visit Brighton and recommend her place to everyone!

My stay with Julia was perfect and I'm very happy that I stayed at her house. Julia is a very kind and respectful host who made me feel welcome and comfortable during my stay. She was respectful of my personal space but was always up for a chat and willing to help if it was needed. Roxy, Julia's cat, is absolutely adorable!
The location of the house is perfect, very quiet and nice. There is a convenience store and several other shops nearby, and a bus stop just outside the house. The city centre is just a short bus ride away. The house is very clean and cozy.
I highly recommend Julia as a host. If I return to Brighton I'll definitely contact her to stay with her again. Thank you Julia!

I am pleased that I had the opportunity to stay with Julia during my time in Brighton! Her house is very cozy, clean and got everything you need. It has a beautiful garden and is surrounded by a quiet and friendly neighbourhood. There are beautiful parks and places to go for a walk as well as small convenience stores that can be easily reached by foot. Additionally, there is a bus stop right near to the house and it takes you about 10-15 minutes to the city centre.
Julia is a very kind, supportive, and respectful host. She welcomed me very warmly and I felt very comfortable and safe during my stay. I have had enough privacy in the room, but Julia always has a helping hand if you need it and is there for a good talk. Not to forget is her adorable cat, Roxy.I really recommend staying with Julia and the next time I will stay in Brighton I won´t hesitate to book her room again. Thank you, Julia.

My stay with Julia was absolutely wonderful - she's a gracious host, very helpful if you need a hand but also respectful of your space. She welcomed me with kindness and warmth and was always up for a good chat. Homes like Julia's are hard to come by, so I'm glad I got lucky! In terms of the location, her place is almost perfect (two buses run at regular intervals), there are woods nearby, convenience stores are a five minute walk. Not to forget her cat, Roxy, who is the friendliest and prettiest. The house is clean, well-ventilated and amidst quiet surroundings. Overall, a great experience - one I will not think twice about booking the next time I'm here. Thank you, Julia!

Julia is really kind, I absolutely love her cat and the house is super cozy! I stayed for about 3 months and I will not hesitate to choose her accommodation again when I have the chance. She is very nice and always willing to help- She supported me when I needed a hand. Highly recommended!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
