We are married ladies who work in the music business we keep a lovely comfy warm house and we have a lovely little boy called Logan. We have one room to offer with a double bed.
We will provide breakfast, Internet, a lovely living room, a bath, a shower, a sunny garden(Sorry the Sun is not guaranteed) and a parking space if you need it.
The house is 2 miles from Brighton town centre and Brighton university and only a mile from the pier. The bus stop is a one min walk away and takes you straight to town. Your more than welcome to cook exotic and crazy food combinations (that's what we do and love) and use any of the house facilities including the Internet. Your breakfast and laundry are included in your fee. You are welcome to make yourself at home put a film on chill out and even have a friend round.
We are friendly, cultured and open-minded people who love meeting new people, travelling and swooping stories and eating food from all over the world. We like to call this Family International.

About the Area
The Area is a friendly close, and 2 mins walk from the local shop, 1 min walk from the bus stop to town/uni and 2 miles from Brighton university. We are surrounded by rolling hills and countryside with beautifull walking trails a miles walk away. The train station is 3 miles away on the bus.

If you cook wash up after yourself. Respect the house, contents and other guests. One friend over at a time exceptions for special occasions. No friend sleepovers. No smoking in the house, the garden is fine. No drugs.

I had such a great time in Brighton with Shivvy and Tracy! Logan is such a cute kid, I miss him so much!! While whitehawk is a little bit away from Brighton, you’re right on a bus stop, and it’s a downhill walk into town if you don’t want to take the bus. Everyone welcomed me, whether it was Logan coming to jump around with me when I exercised outside or eating a Sunday roast together or being invited to go to the pumpkin patch with the family. There’s so much I could put in this review! Thank you for making my stay in Brighton memorable, I hope to see everyone again some day!

I was at home with Shivy and her family for 5 months and I can say I had a wonderful time.
The three of them are a wonderful family. Very loving, accommodating and caring.
We had an incredible amount of fun with great parties, wonderful food and movie nights. Logan is really shaking up the house. It was wonderful for me because the little one quickly wormed his way into my heart. However, you should be aware that you are living in a family with a small child.
I can recommend moving in with this wonderful family to anyone looking for the full British experience. You are in wonderful hands here.

If you're looking for a room to stay in Brighton where you'll be welcomed and treated like family, then this is the place. My stay with the McCarthy-Shaw's was lovely and warm, they are a lovely family with a beautiful and clever baby boy. The hosts were very kind and helpful and the location is also good, it's only a 3 min walk to a bus stop and the bus to the centre of Brighton is every 5min-10min. If you're looking for a friendly and fun place to stay in Brighton then this is the home for you.

I have no words to describe how wonderful are shivvy and tracey, they became my moms, they are beautiful, generous, always happy no matter what, if you want to talk with them they will always be there for u. I miss them already, they are in my heart forever I wish them the best for the rest of their life! I love them so much ♥️
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
