We are a friendly and peaceful household of two, living on top of Windmill Hill with a beautiful long garden and lovely views from the bathroom. The beautiful Victoria Park (with amazing mature trees and views across the whole of Bristol) is at the end of the road. A walk into town by the harbourside will take you only 20 minutes, or take a bus (5 minutes). This peaceful downstairs room has a double bed. Breakfast of toast and cereal is provided. The road is extremely quiet as it is a cul-de-sac so there are very few cars . I speak a bit of French and Spanish. I am fairly creative and enjoy music, dancing, writing, gardening, swimming and surfing. I like to live my life while taking care of the environment, so I use environmentally friendly cleaning products. I love to welcome people to my home and enjoy the mix of people who arrive on my doorstep!

About the Area

On top of the hill and next to the beautiful park with many mature trees and a fantastic view of the city, this is an area which feels delightfully peaceful after the hubbub of the city below. There is even a lovely open air cafe in the park which sells delicious cakes and toasties and coffee.
There are some great local pubs (only a few minutes walk away) with good food and a fun friendly atmosphere.
Local train station only 5 minutes walk away (Bedminster Station), and the main station (Bristol Temple Meads) is only 25 minutes walk. It is often much quicker to walk through the park if it is daylight (it is quite a large park with trees and bushes so you may not want to do this at night). So make sure you have set your sat nav to 'walk' otherwise you will be taken the longer way round by road.
Bus stops for town only 10 minutes walk away (which takes 5 minson the bus to get to town), and if you prefer to walk, its is only a 20 minute walk into town - both also quickest walking through the park.
Bristol Airport is only 20 minutes drive away, and is well connected by a bus which has a stop only 10 minutes walk away.

House Rules

I am only interested in hosting considerate, kind people.
Therefore, the house rules include no smoking, no loud music, no drugs. No bringing back friends. Also, I am not interested in hosting people who drink a lot of alcohol. But moderate consumption is fine!
I prefer that guests are out of the house during the day, between 10.30am and 4pm, because I like to have quiet in the day for me to study. However, if this is problematic for you I may be able to make a different arrangement with you if you request it before booking.
I provide breakfast of toast and cereal and hot drinks. you are welcome to make hot drinks in the evening as well as in the morning. However, I do not allow people to cook evening meals (or lunches) in the kitchen as there is not a lot of room. But it is fine for you to store cold food in the fridge to make sandwiches etc.

Smoking Rules

Your host is a non-smoker.

Smoking is not allowed.

In comparison to other accomodations the house was not so comfortable and clean. During our stay we don't get to know each other because Charlotte hat an appointment.

Charlotte was very nice, but a single bathroom for seven of us was a bit much. On the positive side, her home is beside a fine park and close to the station and centre of Bristol.
