Our home offers easy access all things fabulous Bristol has to offer. Just a short 15min drive North of Bristol City Centre and 10 mins from the M4/M5/Cribbs Causeway. The fabulous green space of the Downs a pleasant 15 min walk away. Westbury on Trym is a quieter, more refined area of the city.

Hello,
I'm Micaela and I live with my husband Gair here in Bristol with our Maine Coons and Egyptian Mau cats. I have 2 grown up married children who each have 2 children of their own. Family is extremely important to us, however unfortunately we don't have anyone living locally so have to make the best of visits as often as possible. Due to chronic long term health problems I had to stop working as an I.C.U nurse during the summer of 2014. Since then my focus has been on showing and breeding pedigree Maine Coons.
I'm a big cat lover and do currently have 6 in total, 4 of which are Show cats/a breeding Queen and live solely indoors, the other 2 (Egyptian Mau's) are rarely in the house except to eat. As much as we love them none of the cats are allowed any access to any bedroom at any time. Cleanliness and hygiene are very high on the agenda and I take great pride in ensuring there are as few signs as is possible that there are any animals in the bungalow on a full time basis. Maine Coons however can be very Dog like in personality and will "greet" anyone who enters, all of mine are extremely friendly and will want to say "hello" it's therefore impossible to avoid contact during your stay.
Gair and I are very quiet but friendly, respectful people who love to travel and have close friends and family based all over the world. We love a bit of luxury in the form of a long haul holiday with exquisite scenery and beaches but equally enjoy a night away from home in a private rental or B&B for a change. We're both keen followers of motor sport and endeavour to attend at least the British MotoGP yearly.
When outside of the UK I'm always keen to experience the local culture and am very much looking forward to bringing a little piece of those cultures and nationalities into our home. Whatever your origin, age, religion or orientation, all will be welcomed with warmth and enthusiasm.

Our cosy bungalow is nestled at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac backing onto a wildlife reserve, in between Westbury-On-Trym and Henleaze. There's a good selection of shops and restaurants, including a Michelin starred Italian and a fabulous Indian as well as a good selection of pubs, within a 10/20 min walk. We've got parks and even a Swimming Lake just a stones through away from the house.
There's everything you need in the immediate vicinity to enjoy a relaxing, stress free, quality of life with all the attractions a cosmopolitan city has to offer close by. There's off road parking for your car. 5 min walk from the bungalow is the bus stop to take you into the City Centre, Cribbs, Park Street, Gloucester Road etc. Bristol Parkway Train Station is 15 mins away by car/Taxi as is Bristol Coach and Bus Station but in the opposite direction. Bristol International Airport is less than 30 mins away.
For those who don't drive Taxis in Bristol are plentiful although in my opinion very expensive.
Collection and drop off from/too Train/Coach/Airport can be arranged for a small additional charge to cover my costs.

The room is a cosy & bright, looking on to the garden. The super comfy zip & link super-king bed for couples quickly and simply splits down to 2 singles ready to accommodate 2 friends/business persons. In addition to the super-king/twin singles, there's a comfortable 2nd/3rd fold-away bed for a child or travel cot for an infant. There's a good selection of clean towels in the room however should you require any more for swimming/beach use etc, these are available at your request, please just ask. Bedding and towels will be changed weekly and the room cleaned by arrangement. There's a tall chest of drawers and a triple, full length mirrored wardrobe for your clothes and personal belongings. There's an LED flat screen TV which has a built in DVD player (selection of DVD's available) and your own independent Sky Q mini box. A hair dryer, straighteners and or curling tongs are available on request as is a steam iron and ironing board. Snacks and drinks are fine however, please refrain from eating meals in the bedroom.

We have passworded WiFi throughout, the code will be given to you on your arrival along with a set of house keys(please ensure they're left in the room when you leave). You'll have full access to the rest of the bungalow including the garden compete with outside furniture and large gas BBQ. Smoking is only permitted in the garden.

The kitchen is fully equipped with most of the gadgets you're likely to need and probably, like most, many you won't. You're more than welcome to cook a meal at any time. The fridge and freezer are at your disposal for any ingredients and please feel free to use any herbs, spices, condiments or sauces etc to aid/complete your creation. We welcome the use of all amenities in the bungalow and that you treat our home as your own. All we ask is that if you use the cooker, BBQ etc that you clean up after yourselves.

The lounge is comfy and modern with a particularly scrumptious armchair and footstool. There's a large, flat screen, smart TV with HD Sky Q including BT Sports Channels.
The only area of our home that is out of bounds is our bedroom.

Although far from pensionable age, since I retired from Nursing and no longer work, I'm at home most of the time. I'm therefore generally on hand to provide any help or assistance or to answer any queries you may have throughout your stay. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures and countries so will welcome conversations with any guest, at any time during your stay. Whether it is for a coffee and chat or to watch a film in the evening your company will always be welcomed. The choice is entirely yours, your room is your own private space and has everything you'll need to enjoy a quiet, peaceful stay. The lounge/kitchen is a communal space where we love to chat and interact with others.

The bungalow is completely wheelchair accessible with ramp access to the front door as well as a wheelchair accessible, level access shower room. There are a number of mobility/disability aids throughout that can easily be made available for your use should you have a need or require them.
Solo adventurers, business travellers, couples, small family units, young and old alike, we look forward to welcoming you into our home.

Very obliging Micaela kept me informed of where I had to go once I came off the M5. My room was really nice and tidy , the bed was like sleeping on feathers . I will be staying there again in the future . It was a shame my stay was so short

I have been staying with Micaela and Gair on a regular basis for a few weeks now as I live in Staffordshire but work away and I have to say it feels like a home away from home now. They have been very welcoming and accommodating with my shift patterns and I feel completely relaxed there even though on business mainly due to them being such good company...oh and a bed that I sleep better in than my own, Very comfy! The room also comes with alot more extras offered than most. Being allergic to cats I can vouch for the cleanliness as I haven't had a reaction to them even though they are indoor cats. I can highly recommend here for your stay, however if you have trouble booking that would be down to me sorry!
