Hello! We are Suzanne and Jon and we have a a five year old son, Thomas. We'd like to welcome you to our friendly and fun family home.

We live 5 minutes walk from Bristol harbourside and 15 minutes walk from the city centre in a quiet residential area with excellent local shops. The guest room is quiet and homely and overlooks our small but lovely garden. We have a large living room with open fire and a cosy kitchen dining room.

Jon is a self employed speech therapist working with patients who have aphasia (which is when the language processing part of the brain is damaged after a stroke). His office is at home but he visits his patients in their own homes. He is also a musician. He plays guitar in an instrumental acoustic group and travels widely with them. He speaks French and Spanish well. He is fascinated by language and loves exploratory conversations.

Suzanne is trained as an ecologist and works in wildlife conservation but currently is a full-time mum and is home-educating Thomas (home schooling is very popular in Bristol). Her interests are movement and dance, growing vegetables on the allotment, being out in nature, botany, creativity.

Thomas is a bright, happy, considerate and creative little boy. His main passion is drawing town maps for his toy cars. We do all sorts of fun learning at home.

We don't tend to have music playing a lot or TV on in our house, preferring reading or conversation or doing something creative. Suzanne enjoys cooking for people and we eat mostly vegetarian food. A evening meal can sometimes be provided by arrangement and we are happy to cater for gluten free or dairy free diets. We provide a help yourself breakfast of cereals, porridge, toast, eggs etc.

We are open minded and liberal sort of people, welcoming and friendly and interested in people and cultural diversity.
