About the Homestay
Hello and a warm welcome to my home. I work in advertising and consulting, mostly from home. I have two small dogs that may bark when you come in but they will be kept away.
I have a stylish double bedroom available suitable for two people which has been decorated to a very high standard. The room is in a two bedroom lower ground floor flat in a converted shoe factory 10 minutes drive from the city centre. The property is located in a quiet cul-de-sac minutes away from the lovely St George Park and it has a private entrance. There is free on-street parking, as well as plenty of public transport and different amenities accessible from the near-by Church Road.
The property offers free Wi-Fi and the room has a smart TV with Freeview. There is a keypad lock of the bedroom door for added privacy, as well as clean towels and slippers, extra pillows and blankets, a hair dryer, clothes hangers, an iron and complementary shampoo and shower gel. There is a large desk with a comfortable office chair suitable for working away from home, as well as a baby cot for families with small children.
The hallway, bathroom, kitchen/diner, living room and the patio are shared.
Check-in is from 4 pm on the day of arrival and check-out is by 11 am on the day of departure; you're also welcome to drop your luggage off prior to checking in.
Hope you'll enjoy your stay and I'll see you soon.

- Use of Kitchen
*Please take your shoes off when you come in and use the slippers if you'd like (they're clean).
*Use the stool that's in the bedroom's wardrobe to get to the window to open/close it and don't climb on the furniture. My first aid kit won't be much help if you break yourself.
*Mind the light bedding; food grease and make-up are especially hard to come off.
*Please don’t put hot hair straighteners/tongs on the carpet and use the heat resistant mat provided.
*Use coasters; they're on the console table in the hallway.
*Don't flush "anything that's not supposed to be flushed" down the toilet (including flushable wet wipes) as a macerator is responsible for the drainage.
*Recycle as much as you can; the recycling box is located on top of the fridge in the kitchen.
*Please don't feed the dogs, as they're already fat. If they try to jump on you, you can tell them to get down or make them sit #teamwork #dogtraining
*Leave the key inside the bedroom when departing. If you lose the key during your stay there will be an additional charge of £50 (sorry!)
*There is no smoking inside the flat but you're allowed to smoke out in the patio.
Smoking is not allowed.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
