We live in a 4 bedroom detached property on the outskirts of Poole with easy access to Upton Heath and secluded walk down to Poole Harbour. Our older children now live away from home but we still have our youngest son, who is 15 years old, living at home. We can offer our guests a well proportioned room overlooking the garden with fitted wardrobes and desk. It is a double room but we currently have a single bed with pull out section to make a comfortable Kingsize bed should a couple wish to stay with us. We will, of course, be providing breakfast, and our guest(s) will have use of the kitchen at pre-arranged times should they wish to use it. There are laundry facilities, internet access and a lounge which we will be happy to share. We also have a jewellery workshop on site and any visitor would be very welcome to join in with a class if they wish to.

We have a piano which will be available to play.
I run jewellery workshops from home and guests are welcome to join in if they wish.

About the Area
Our house is is a quiet cul-de-sac which offers access onto the adjacent heath land. We are about 4km from Holes Bay and 5km from Poole Harbour; visitors can wal to both via secluded paths if they wish. Dorset is a particularly beautiful part of England with many tourist attractions of the historical, scenic and more modern kind. We live on the outskirts of Poole in Broadstone which has its own small shopping centre with cafes, pubs, restaurants, convenience stores and other individual shop; as well as doctors surgeries, chemists etc. There is a Library and Leisure Centre in Broadstone, with all the usual facilities, and a Leisure Complex including Multi screen cinema a short bus ride away. There are bus stops in walking distance with bus routes which connect passengers to other services across the county.

Use of Kitchen and Laundry facilities to be at agreed times and small extra cost.
We rarely drink alcohol so, although we are very happy for our guests to do so and to serve it with evening meals, we would not be happy with heavy alcohol use.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
