Welcome to our family! We are a young family of five, with always something going on. Our lively and friendly kids ensure the house is never a dull moment. So luckily our homestay offers a quiet and cosy studio apartment situated at the end of the garden - it is not part of the house, but has a double bedroom, en suite bathroom (shower only) and separate living / work area. It is well sound-proofed, with wifi and Smart TV.
Kitchen access is limited - please discuss your needs and we'll come to an arrangement. But we welcome you join us for breakfast and even optional dinner - we cook a wide range of international and British food (we particularly like preparing East Asian, Mexican, Italian and Spanish food).
After many years travelling, living and working abroad in continents such as Asia and the Americas, we have experienced engaging with many cultures and therefore enjoy hosting international guests. We are experienced hosts working with Cambridge language schools. We provide a professional and comfortable stay and offer, on request, meals and laundry services.
We are situated down a quiet residential street just over the bridge from a large shopping centre where you can find supermarkets (Asda, M&S Food, Lidl), a discount designer shop (TKMaxx), electrical (Curry's PC World) and coffee shops (Starbucks, Costa Coffee). Also, just a 3-5 mins walk to Mill Road, a popular high street with an eclectic mix of ethnic and fresh produce. For the active visitors, families and children plenty of playgrounds, open spaces for walks, runs and sporting activities.

About the Area
We are situated down a quiet residential street just over the bridge from a large shopping centre called The Beehive centre. Within 2 mins you are walking distance from Coldham's common; a large common for walks and runs. The famous river Cam is 15 mins walk, so you watch the university rowers training or go punting through the beautiful historic centre. The train station is 20 mins walk, local boutique cafe's, restaurants and shops on Mill Road 10mins walk, and the city centre 20mins walk. Electric scooters and bikes are available to hire at the end of our road.

Payment terms
*A deposit of 25% will be requested upon confirmation of booking.
*The remaining fee will be payable upon arrival.
*Payment will be via Paypal, but also can recieve bank transfer.
*For shorter stays of under 4 days, full payment will be required immediately upon booking.
*Should you wish to alter your dates we would kindly ask that you give us minimum 30 days notice prior to your arrival and we will endevour to change your booking.
*Should you wish to cancel, we will provide a full refund if it is within 30 days of your arrival. After 30 days, we will not refund the deposit.
Rules
As a young family household, we would hope our guests act appropriately and respectful, polite manner. We aim to provide our guests with a lovely, friendly and comfortable stay. There are some basic rules and considerings we ask of our guests;
*Smoking is not allowed
*No pets allowed
*No other guests allowed inside the premises
*Please keep noise to a minimum during 11 pm -7 am
*Please ensure all doors and windows are securely locked when leaving the house and also turn on all indicated and instructed alarms.

Kemi’s family was really welcoming and lively !! I particularly enjoyed the stay with them, including the delicious and healthy meals. About the cottage, it was spacious and relaxing!! The Centre of Cambridge was really close, and also, the transportation system was quite convenient, so I could visit London in 1h30min. I definitely recommend Kemi’s home to stay in Cambridge!!

I had the most wonderful stay at this location! It was very private and the family was absolutely fantastic! I loved the location. I walked almost everywhere and had an enjoyable time. This family made my visit so memorable that I will cherish this vacation always!

I had a lovely stay. The studio was very comfortable and I had everything I needed. The entire family was open and friendly and made me feel like a part of them. They catered to my diet and made a delicious dish every night. I can definitely recommend staying with the family and would choose them again myself.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
