I am a very warm and friendly person and my priority is to ensure my guests are comfortable in my home, as well as providing any help you will need to get around London. I enjoy a good conversation, learning new cultures, music, TV, cinema and travel and developing a good rapport with my guests.
I live on a nice quiet road in a leafy suburb in South East London. The house comprises 4 bedrooms with living room, dining room, kitchen, utility room and two bathrooms (one for the guests), garden and off- street parking. Please note that I only cater for university students, fully employed interns and professionals, leisure and short stay business/holiday bookings. No family groups.
The rooms are bright and south facing with lots of sunlight on sunny days and are fully furnished to a very high standard, with all the amenities and travel connections only minutes away. There are three train stations connecting you to Central London and the City and the nearest bus stops are 3-5 mins walking distance.
ALL NON-BRITISH GUESTS MUST PRESENT LEGAL TRAVEL PERMITS TO STAY IN THE UK FOR THE DURATION OF THEIR STAY.
All guests must read my house rules before completing their bookings as cancellations will not result in an automatic refund of the remainder of your non-stay nights, except due illness, breveament and exceptional emergencies.
Repeated or serious breaches of my house rules may result in the guest being requested to leave without a refund.

Please be advised that all guests are required to have the necessary health insurance to receive healthcare services from the NHS or they will be expected to pay at the point of service.

In addition to the standard Homestay cancellation policies, please note that payment must be received in full prior to arrival and made via PayPal or in cash. Longstay guests whose bookings are over 60 days must give 7 days cancellation notice period to receive a full refund for the remaining non-stay days. There will be no refund for bookings less than 60 days.

About the Area
Our house is located 3-5 mins walking distance to the nearest bus stops and 7 mins to Catford/Catford Bridge train stations. Distance to Central London from Catford Stations is 15 minutes to London Bridge (City) and 20 mins to Charing Cross (West End).
Shopping: There is a substantial Sainsburys supermarket within walking distance as well as a small Tesco Express for convenient groceries and a lovely pub close by. Catford town center is only 5 mins away by bus with lots of shops, bars and restaurants, whilst Lewisham shopping mall is 15 mininutes by bus.
The neighborhood: We are situated near the Ravensbourne River with a great cycle and jogging path with lots of open space and trees, as well as a park. There are also several historical parks a stones throw away. Our neighboring town is Forest Hill with lots of lovely cafe's, bars, restaurants and gyms for the active AND A MUSEUM with fantastic open with space great views of London.
Local Tourist Attractions: We are also just a couple of bus rides away from the Royal Borough of Greenwich which boasts the London Planetarium, the Royal Observatory, the famous O2 and Cutty Sack amongst many other attractions, as well as boasting one of the best views of the City of London and Canary Wharf. A MUST VISIT for all visitors to London.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Short stay guests have use of the microwave and limited use of the kitchen. Long stay guests have use of kitchen to prepare quick meals (limited to 1 hour), as well as the washing machine for one weekly wash.
Use of the shower/bathroom is limited to one 15 mins daily usage.
Weekly clean of all rooms are carried out on a Friday and guests are asked to leave their rooms accessible for this purpose. All guests are expected to keep their room and shared areas (bathroom and kitchen) hygienically clean after use, and make use of hygiene products available.
Guests are welcome to share the living room only when family members are present and must ask permission to use the equipment.
Guests are not allowed visitors without my express permission, nor are they permitted to give my address to any third-party or use my address for the purposes of obtaining bank accounts, securing employment, national insurance numbers etc without my prior permission. This would not be unreasonably withheld where necessary.
Business activities are strictly prohibited.
Under no circumstances are drugs or excessive consumption of alcohol allowed in my home.
Please keep noise to a minimum level after 10:00pm.
Please switch off all electronic and household equipment (including TV's and kitchen equipment) at the mains after use.
Please do not open wet or damp clothing in bedrooms to avoid condensation and mold. A clothes airer is provided in the utility room for drying clothes or you may choose to use the local laundry located 5 mins walking distance to dry you clothes quicker in the winter months.

Marie is a very nice and helpful person with a very friendly family. I could feel very well during my stay. The house is comfortable with easy access to transports and it locates close to lots of small shops and walking distance from supermarkets. I would certainly recommend her house!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
