Situated just south of the Lake District National Park, the house is close to many attractions, such as the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, and Windermere. Also, we are well placed to explore the wonderful countryside in Cumbria.
BREAKFAST:
A simple breakfast basket is provided, which contains porridge, cereals, muesli & fruit, in your room. There is also a mini-fridge with fresh dairy milk (if you require options such as soy, please bring your own). No cooked breakfast.
ALSO, we have:
A washing machine you can use for free.
Hanging and drying area for wet clothes.

TRAVEL FOR WORK:
We are close to Barrow and Ulverston, so welcome anyone who is travelling due to work. There is a desk in your room, with free wifi provided (it has a reasonably fast speed). Also, there is a printer, which you can use.
OTHER:
Towels, bed linen, shampoo and soap are provided -- although, if you need something specific to you, we have a pharmacy and supermarket close by.
The car can be parked on the streets around the house at any time -- there are no restrictions.
The bathroom is shared with one other person - me.
PAYMENT:
I ask for:
Full payment 48 hours before arrival day.
Payment by PayPal or bank transfer is accepted.
When you book I will send details of payment methods.
You may cancel up to 48 hours before arrival day without charge, or be refunded if you have paid.
If you cancel less than 48 hours before arrival day, there is no refund.

About the Area
Although Dalton is small, it has a variety of shops that supply essentials (our local supermarket is well-stocked). Also, there some cafes, pubs and restaurants. For more facilities, we are close to Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness.
If you want to leave the car (free parking is on a very quiet street) there are other travel options. The house is close to Sustrans Route 70. Trains from Dalton take you along the coast as far as Carlisle, or down to Manchester Airport. Stagecoach buses 6 & X6 stop nearby.
Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
I welcome guests on arrival, give them a set of keys and show them where bikes and outdoor gear can be stored (no outdoor shoes in the house).
As I like to live in a peaceful house:

Please avoid making a lot of noise between 11 pm and 8 am.
Bringing in guests or having parties is not allowed.
Pets are not allowed.
You cannot use the kitchen (it's too small for two).

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
