My son and I live in a 3 bedroom bungalow in a quiet part of the village yet near to the 2 pubs, village hall and community shop. We have 2 dogs, a cat, ducks, geese and chickens.

The room is a double, single or twin sunny room, with quite a bit of space.
You will share the lovely new bathroom, with steam shower and whirlpool bath. And there is a hot tub in the spacious garden, lots of room to sit and lounge with a glass or two!

Quite lane in the village of Rowde, lovely tourist location with Caen Hill Locks nearby on the Kennet and Avon canal, Devizes Town just a few miles away, White Horse Hills close by, Lacock village within 15 minutes drive. Stonehenge 40 mins away, and Avebury about 20 minutes away by car. Plenty of other things to see and do.

2 village pubs within 5 mins walk, church closeby, and village shop.

Bus stop within a few minutes with buses to Devizes and Chippenham.

House Rules

Strictly no smoking, you are able to use the garden for lounging and the hot tub if it is running (and available), with a small charge.

You will be sharing the bathroom, and have hot drink making facilities and microwave in your room. I do expect you to wash up and keep the house tidy.

I will not be sharing my lounge as that is also my office. Please ensure the front door is kept shut as the dogs will get out otherwise.

No noise after 9pm, since I have a young child in the house.

No guests are allowed, there is a pub round the corner for you to meet friends in.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
