Hey! Our home is 20 minutes from both the airport and city centre by public transport. Our house is located near Edinburgh Zoo, close to lovely woodland walks. Bathroom/shower facilities are shared and we also have a separate WC. We have 2 double rooms and a cosy single available all furnished with either a chest of drawers or wardrobe and nightstand. We have a private garden which is full of wildlife and you are more than welcome to make good use of.

Quiet suburb with excellent transport links to the city centre and airport. 5 minute bus journey or 15 minute walk to local restaurants and shops. Within walking distance of Edinburgh Zoo and nature reserve.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

The kitchen is available for light cooking and food preparation. If guests choose to use the kitchen, we kindly ask that the kitchen is cleaned after use.
Do not leave any electrical items on, when you are out.
Please keep noise down to a minimum after 10pm.
Ensure that the house is secured when you go out.
Please don’t smoke inside, however smoking is allowed outside.
Please don't invite strangers into our home.
Check in is between 5pm-9pm Monday Friday and from noon on the weekend. Checkout is 10am. If you arrive early, we may ask you to come back as the room may not be ready.
This is our home, we kindly ask that you treat it with respect.

Catherine and John were absolutely fantastic. They went beyond being gracious hosts, and their place is beautiful and comfortable. They made us feel at home and were always there to help. There is a direct bus line (26) which brought us to the city center, and the stop was a mere five minute walk from their door. All very convenient. Their home is in a green and quiet area, with a convenient grocery store also about a five minute walk away. Highly recommended! We'll go back for sure.

Lovely host family, Catherine, John, Jarvis and Paco are welcoming, kind, attentive, always available for a chat in the evening, and give great advice on lots of activities to do and places to visit in their beautiful country.
Their house is spotless and cozy - it's located in a quiet area, very well connected to the city centre.
I felt right at home from the get-go, and would love to stay with them again.

Quiet location. Beautiful garden, clean and very nicely decorated house. Catherine and John are friendly, very helpful, always available for a chat and ready to give advice on amazing spots to visit. Staying with them contributed to making our first holiday ever in Scotland a memorable experience.

Very friendly hosts. Catherine and John have been of great advice when it came to either typical sightseeing tours or destinations around Edinburgh (beaches, amazing pathways along the river Leith or on Corstorphine Hill right behind their house). The rooms were very clean and decorated with taste. Access to the city center was easy with bus 26.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
