Len and Sandy were the best hosts I could have! I had the pleasure of spending 3 weeks with them and it was a wonderful experience. They are very kind, friendly and attentive, they helped me with everything I needed and were very patient with me. In addition, the house was very comfortable, clean and organized, with an excellent location. I hope to return someday!
Very beautiful home for a very beautiful experience. Leonard (Len) and Sandy are very welcoming. They explain you details the possibilities how to spent the holidays, their tradition and your curiosities. The home is located in a typical british neighborhood, in the zone 5 of London. You can enjoy visiting it and it’s in a strategic position if you want to avoid the pollution and the traffic of London Center. It's easy to reach the London Center by train, the station of Stoneleigh is 2 minutes away from Len’s home. Moreover the supermarket is close to the area and so comfy to reach by foot. A very important thing is that you can use the home kitchen whenever you want. You'll have the maximum liberty on the matter of timetables: you'll have the key and you can decide when go out or come back with the due respect for the tenants.
Leonard and Sandy were lovely and helpful hosts. my room was spacious and tidy. Sandy even did my bed while I was out. free breakfast and the possibility of laundering you won't find to often. thank you again
Leonard and Sandy were amazing hosts I would highly recommend staying with them!
They made me feel so at home and were very welcoming from the start.
I would naturally be homesick being a student away from my home but from the moment I arrived they went above and beyond to make me comfortable and safe. I felt totally at ease in their company and I always knew they would be around for a nice chat. They are both excellent cooks the dinners were always wholesome and delicious! Their home is lovely and very clean too.
I can't wait to stay with them again in the future. A perfect location close to London and Stoneleigh is a beautiful area too with great parks nearby. For students looking for a home away from home Sandy and Leonard are a perfect host family!
Len and Sandy immediately made us feel at home on arrival. We had a spacious room and a private bathroom and toilet and everything was very clean . The breakfast was fine and we could even use the kitchen if we wished. The location was perfect: we had a private parking, the station was around the corner, and so were pubs and restaurants. A good starting point for visits in and outside London.
Len and Sandy are really kind, friendly and helpful. I stayed with them 3 weeks and they helped me with English, gave me info about London and public transportation and they lent me a bike.
I enjoyed chats with them.
I definitely recommend their house to spend lovely time in London!
A refaire !
From the moment Len wrote to me, whether I would require a meal for the evening of my arrival since I would be tired after the long journey, I knew I was going to stay with a great host. And so it turned out to be. Len and Sandy were generous, caring and kind. They paid attention to tiniest of detail to make sure I was comfortable at home. Len was always ready to help me with where to go and how to go, while Sandy's perfection meant the house was always spotless and clean. I will always remember the mornings when I would have my cup of tea out in the beautiful back garden, and the evenings I spent with this homely couple, chatting with them about the day spent, as well as their cute grand-daughter Edi.
Their home is about an hour from the Heathrow airport (I had to take a bus to Worcester and from there National Rail -- the very next stop is Stoneleigh) and a stone's throw away from the station. There are direct train services (about half-an-hour) to Waterloo station, from where all the major landmarks like the London Eye are at a walkable distance. Besides the connectivity, the convenience store, post office, etc are all a minute's walk from their place.
All in all, it was a memorable, happy staying for me with Len and Sandy. If and when I visit London next time, I won't look for a different host. Thanks a lot guys, god bless.
