Myself and my husband live in Hawkinge, Folkestone with our daughter Ruby. Our house is in a very safe area within walking distance to local amenities and buses which will take you into Folkestone or the city of Canterbury.
I work at the University of Kent and I am happy to help out with UCAS applications, university advice as well as with the English language.
We are more than happy to show you around and take you on trips with our family.
We love to go to the beach often and take long walks. Canterbury is a 20 minute bus ride from our house where you can visit the Cathedral and see many other sites.
We also visit London which is 50 minutes from where we live, the high speed train takes you directly into St Pancras.
We would love to share our home and learn all about where you are from as well as help you to have a great British experience.

About the Area
Our house is located 2 minutes from a bus stop which will take you to Folkestone centre in one direction and Canterbury city centre in the other direction.
You can also catch the train to London from Folkestone and be there in under an hour.
We have a supermarket 5 minutes walk from the house, a park next door and many places to walk.
The beach is also a short bus ride away and we like to go here a lot!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
