I am a retired nurse and therapist , I work part time, Iam Irish , love the countryside, music of all sorts, traveling, reading, and personal development. I have hosted students age 18 - 60 for over 10 years before joining homestay and enjoyed every minute of it. I like a very relaxed easy going and am flexible. Meals can be included for a small fee. Main bedroom is on the ground floor with own shower, and easy access to front door. Hailsham is central to all major amenities 10 minutes by car to main line train station, 30 mins to Brighton, 30mins to Hastings, 15mins to Eastbourne, 1.5 hours to London by train.
Sussex is a very beautiful county offering a wide range of activities, sight seeing to suit everyone's needs. Glynbourne is 15 minutes away.

If you are accompanied by an infant I can provide a travel cot.

Our house is situated 10 minutes walk from the city Centre. It is 15minutes by car to the nearest beach , 15 minutes to the national rail service, 1.30 minutes to London. 25 minutes to brightonand 25 minutes to Hastings.

It was a good decision to stay in Hailsham during our 8-days-tour in UK. Not only because of our pre-planned contrast program to visit both: natural landscapes (e.g. Seven Sisters) as well as cities on the south coast (and of course - London) - but also because of our very nice hostess Lila. We felt (almost) like at home. Lila was able to give us additional recommendations on art and cultural places that we would not have encountered immediately as inexperienced English tourists.

Our first homestay experience was brilliant.Lila is a lovely lady.We felt most welcome immediately.We felt at home,comfortable and able to relax easily.The accommodation was perfect and in a great location for exploring the local area.I would have no hesitation in recommending Lila's home.

My girlfriend I stayed with Lila for 8 days and it was fantastic. We were warmly welcomed and made feel at home right away! Our room was very spacious which added to our comfortable stay and for a small extra charge Lila provided us with great home cooked meals in the evening. We highly recommend this home stay and can't thank Lila enough for her hospitality!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
