There is a restful lounge area with a large flat screen TV and a desk. WIFI is available though the signal varies being in the countryside! There is outside seating on a deck that extends to the side of the studio, perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine.
There is a washer dryer available for guests booking stays of 3 days or more.

I live with my husband Dave at Cruise Hill House. We have 4 grown up children and 5 grandchildren. 12 years ago we both retired from our profession as Forensic Scientists, bought a boat and went sailing. We came back to the UK just over 2 years ago. We are loving being back in the English countryside and Cruise Hill House is a small holding with pigs, sheep, chickens, 2 border collies and a cockapoo. We are very friendly and love welcoming other people to share our home.
We love spending time outside in the garden and with the animals and we are growing lots of our own produce and are happy to share with you what ever is in season if we can. There are some great pubs and walks in the area which we would be really happy to talk to you about.
Its very important to us that people who come here feel very much at home, if possible we always like to be here to greet people and make them welcome. If you are celebrating a special occasion then do let us know, and we'll do what we can to make it extra special.

About the Area

The studio is in a great rural setting in a beautiful part of Worcestershire, with some lovely walks right on your doorstep. It's very close to The Jinny Ring (afternoon tea & a mooch), and Hanbury Hall (National Trust Property). There are also several great country pubs, The Brook Inn is less than half a mile down the road and both the Rose and Crown and The Forest, in Feckenham, are a lovely 40 mins off road walk straight down the bridal path, a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, if we are around we will also arrange collection home afterwards!.
The accommodation is still close to several main motorways and only a couple of miles from a town and large supermarkets.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules

There is private secure parking for 2 cars, the gates are always locked at night. Guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens and walk round the property to hand feed our very friendly sheep and chickens. Given the rural nature of the property, then public transport is very limited. The nearest train station is Redditch, though Droitwich and Bromsgrove are also quite close and collection from these stations can be arranged. There are also quite few good Taxi firms locally.

Smoking is allowed outdoors only.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
