Welcome to our home!
Our home is located in a residential area and is in a great location to get a feel for Cardiff life and explore the rest of Wales.
Nadine & Martyn are really into gardening, eating out and enjoying the local countryside by walking our dog Tilly. We enjoy meeting people from different cultures and look forward to getting to hosting you.
As our guest we want you to feel that you are ‘home away from home’ during your stay wih us.
Our house has 4 bedrooms and a front & back garden that our guests can use. We rent out 2 single bedrooms.
WIFI is available & we provide tea & coffee facilities in each room. Each bedroom has a hairdryer and ironing facilities are available for you to use if you wish. Towels, basic toiletries are provided and bedding is laundered weekly. The house is also professionally cleaned once a week. We have an annual gas safety certificate.
All bedrooms are on the first floor as well as the main shared bathroom.There is a separate WC and wash basin on the ground floor. Our dog is a house dog but does not go into the guest bedrooms at any time.
The property is conveniently located for access to the city centre, universities, college and the university hospital. The A48 and M4 are in very easy reach and the property has a good bus service with a bus stop just a 1 minute walk away.
We're on a direct bus route to the city centre (15 minutes away) and close to the M4 motorway (10 minutes away). Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena and the Principality Stadium are on a direct bus route to the City Centre and an all day bus ticket costs just £3.80.
We respectfully request no smoking inside the house. No shoes worn inside the house either. You aren't able to bring guests home and we'd ask you to observe 'quiet time' from 11.00pm.
Check in from 4.00pm and check out by 10.00am on departure day.
We require a 25% booking deposit from guests and cash or instant bank transfer for the remainder of the room balance on arrival day.

About the Area
Our house has lots of parks, a lake with a lighthouse, shops, pubs & eating places all in walking distance or a short bus ride away.
There's also a leisure centre with gym and swimming pool you can walk to in 10 minutes from our house.
The bus stop is only a 1 minute walk away from the house. You can be in the city centre in about 20 minutes by bus for cinemas,theatre, bowling, restaurants, bars, Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena & Principality Stadium.
If you'd prefer to take a taxi you can expect to pay £10 to get to the City Centre or Cardiff Bay.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Guests are responsible for their front door key. Guests must Lock the front door on leaving and entering the the house. All windows to be closed on leaving the house.

You can use the laundry with prior permission once a week. We do provide breakfast and you can use the microwave for heating up ready meals in the kitchen if you don't want to eat out (please clean up after yourself and only eat food in the kitchen/dining area and not in your room).
Payment is either cash on arrival or paid directly into our bank account on the day of arrival

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
