We have two single rooms available in our home for short or long stays. One room, has a seperate shower room, a single bed, desk and a wardrobe. The other room shares the family bathroom and has a separate toilet. Currently, we are only hosting females.
Payment should be made by bank transfer, payment details will be given when booking has been completed.
My husband is a musician and works from his studio in the garden, you can see his studio in the photo of the garden. I teach at a college in London. We are friendly, enjoy cooking and walking the dog. We have been hosting for many years and enjoy meeting new people and helping them navigate their way around London.
Our two children have flown the nest. We have a dog called Frankie and a cat called Skip, both are very important members of our family.
We live on the same road as Charlton railway station with easy access to shops, parks and the O2 arena. At the end of the street are local bus routes which can get you to the Jubilee Line, cinema and lido all within 5 mins.
Charlton village has a park, nice pubs and good coffee shops. There are local gyms, a swimming pool, shops and cafes all in a 5 minute walking distance.
We are always on hand to help and advise, we love people staying in our home. We have travelled around the world and know how important it is to feel safe and secure.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
Use of the washing machine and all cooking appliances in the kitchen are included as well as use of the garden.

Light, ground-floor room with French doors leading into the garden, ground floor room and top floor room all for rent in large family house. sharing newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. Room furnishings include single bed, armchair, wardrobe and drawers. The house is a Victorian three-storey terrace.

Next to Charlton train station (London Bridge 20 mins, connection to DLR 5 mins) and local bus routes 177, 180, 472, 161, 380 & 486 (10 mins to North Greenwich for Jubilee line and Thames Clipper). Quiet street with Sainsbury's Local, Post Office, pub etc. on the corner; new shopping area with Sainsbury's & M&S superstores and major chains 10 mins walk. 10 mins walk to Charlton Park, 15 mins to fitness centre (gym & lido). On-street parking with permit.

Great stay in a lovely family!
The house is huge and near the Charlton Station and a lot of shops. I had great time and I've always been helped when I needed a piece of advice.Host reply

My week at Lisa and Carl's home was fantastic. They are a lovely couple and their home was perfect for my stay in London. They are so accommodating. If I return to London solo, I will absolutely be staying here again. I initially chose to stay with them because of the cost, but I was pleasantly surprised how many other positive aspects came with the stay. The home is close to public transportation options. I was able to explore London with ease from the location. Close enough to all of the London sightseeing, but in a peaceful neighborhood setting.

What an exceptional family, we were two students of Amos, the school is 8 minutes away by train (3 stops), a top living environment, unique and so nice people! We had the best possible stay with personal and professional progress.

My son Lawrence loved staying with Carl and Lisa. It was a comfy room and they were friendly and welcoming. The property was located in a good position, being close to the rail network and also to the shops. Would highly recommend. Thank you for being a safe place for him to stay.

It was a wonderful time to stay with Lisa, Carl and Franky. They are lovely and helpful people and made us feel like home. We enjoyed chitchatting with them over a tea or dinner. There house is beautiful and easily approachable to bus, train and super stores. This is a perfect homestay. :)

How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
