I really enjoyed staying with Jenny and Nigel last summer. They were very warm, helpful and welcoming and contributed to making my month in London a time to remember!
Nigel and Jenny are friendly, hospitable and helpful couple. They took time from their busy schedule to give me many suggestions for sightseeing and transportation. I also enjoyed chatting with them. They patiently listen to my unskillful English so I had time to develop my English speaking ability. Nigel is also good cook. In addition, there is a quiet, purry and charming cat.
The hosts were very friendly, helpful, generous and went far above their call of duty. The room was also very comfortable, clean, spacious and peaceful. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be away from the hustle and bustle of central London but still be able to reach tourist attractions easily.
Amazing couple, made me feel very welcome. Very down to earth and very accommodating. Lovely room and comfortable sofa bed. Would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the area. Thank you Nigel and Jenny
Nigel & Jenny are extremely welcoming & knowledgable about surrounding areas/London in general! Would absolutely look them up again when in the area.
Nigel and Jenny are very hostpitable, and i have enjoyed it. If i travel to london again, i would come back to them.
Nigel and his Wife were open and friendly. They were helpfull if i needed some information.
The room was also good. You can have nice conversations with Nigel about different subjects. The area was also nice. The area has in a walking distance many shops and supermarkets.
I spent a very nice week with Jenny & Nigel, the area is as well very pleasant with parks and train stations not too far. Totally recommend it.
Nigel and his family are hospitable, very friendly and open-minded. They are helpful and can provide you with useful information about what to do and see in London (if you want that). It's a pleasure to talk to them, but if you want to stay completely on your own, nobody will disturb you. The garden room is well equipped and nicely furnished. The host looks well after it and your well-being. A toilet en suite makes it even more comfortable and practical. The kitchen and bathroom within the house can be reached easily through the small garden. Your room is completely separated from the house, so you can go and come as you like. You are quite "independent", different to so many accomodations elsewhere. I had a very pleasant stay there and can highly recommend it. Concerning public transport Penge might not be the most central part of London, but you can reach the city by bus or overground without much effort.
A tranquil place, a beautiful garden and privacy if needed. Nigel & Jenny were welcoming, friendly and very helpful with directions etc. The room was clean and comfy. Also easy to connect to public transport on bus & rail. I really enjoyed my stay and...Nigel is a fantastic baker!
