About the Homestay
I live in a lovely 5 bedroom Edwardian house situated in Sydenham in a residential setting. The house is 5 minutes walk to the station with trains into central London in 25 minutes!
3 reception rooms and 2 bathrooms.
Large garden and family kitchen.
I work for a London University and live in the home with my 2 children aged 16 and 8.
We are a warm welcoming family who have been hosting for over 10 years.
I have a valid DBS check and am able to host under 16 year old
We’ve made good friends with our students from across the globe with most still in contact!.

About the Area
The house is located within a 5 min walk to Sydenham station, with easy links into central London, by the East London Overground train. There are excellent bus services, providing transport to local areas such as Bromley, Catford and Lewisham.
There are many local amenties ranging from pharmacies, library banks, clothing shops to food shops. The famous Cake Store is only a 100m from our front door!
For night life there is the popular Dolphin Pub which serves lovely English food! Mayow Park is our local park and is a 5 minute walk from the home.

We spent 4 days @Lisa Marie 's house and our stay was great.
She is helpful and warm, and all is done to make you feeling like home.

very poor beds, two matresses on each other, asking where I came from and when we came to visit, the desire for the night to stay in that room, I had to sleep in another place.
The house was clean and Lisa and her daughter were helpful. We were four and there were other 6 people living in the house at the same time as ours. We were given Lisa’s daughter and Lisa’s son rooms, with all their stuff inside. There are only two bathrooms. A bit too packed.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
