About the Homestay
Beverley, Barry and their 14 year old daughter Georgia live in a large town house just 7 minutes walk to Mortlake station. We love musical theatre and good food. The house is 80 years old and has been extensively modernised. Barry is a former rugby player and Beverley had a very successful career in the theatre.

About the Area
Our House is located to the west of London (12 miles from Heathrow airport). Our local station is Mortlake (overground) a 7 minute walk. The train will take 25 minutes to central London and all the theatres, museums and tourist attractions, or you can get the bus that stops at the end of our road (just a 3 minute walk). There you can pick up bus services to either Richmond or Hammersmith underground stations, which will have direct links into central London. We are a 15 minute walk to beautiful Richmond Park and the River Thames and 3 miles from the world famous Kew Gardens. The closest large town is Richmond-upon-Thames and that is a pleasant 10 minute bus ride. From 2nd to 15th July 2018 Wimbledon tennis championships take place and that is just 30 minutes away by train/bus. On the 24th March 2018 the famous Oxford v Cambridge boat race takes place and the finish is a 15 minute walk from our house. If you are interested in rugby Twickenham stadium is just 4 stops away on the train. We also have fantastic award winning restaurants close by and the historic Hampton Court Palace is just 40 minutes by train. So for a visit to London this location is just about perfect.

Please remove shoes when going upstairs, no guests in the house (except by permission). No use of the telephone landline. No food in the bedrooms.noise to be kept to a minimum after 11pm. Laundry and ironing service is available at a small extra charge. We would prefer payment in UK Pounds Sterling to avoid currency exchange costs.

My stay with Beverly and Barry far exceeded my expectations.. They were both most helpful with my sightseeing and planning, making suggestions and showing me the ropes, transportation etc. I cannot say enough about the level of hospitality, comfort and welcome I received. I love London and hope to return soon, but they are what made it special from the very start. I feel very lucky and grateful to have found them...they are truly amazing, wonderful people.
Beverley and Barry are wonderful hosts and helped me so much. I live in Dundee Scotland and didn't know my way on public transport. I had to get into central London for a very important meeting, Beverley took me to the local railway station made sure I had the correct travel card and put me on the train. Thanks Beverley. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated and a lovely bed. I just wish I could have stayed longer to explore the beautiful area they live in. No more soleless hotels for me, next time I'm in London I'm staying with them.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (minimum booking fee may apply) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or by prior arrangement.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
