About the Homestay
I live in a very Central part of London, about ten minutes walk to Tower Bridge. Easy access to London Bridge , Waterloo and the city of London. Access to buses the underground and trains to travel all over London and the rest of the country is very easy. I live with my son who is in his twenties and we have hosted students for the last few years, with a popular Language School that has classified us as a five star host family.
My home is friendly and cosy. It is quiet and peaceful and you will be made to feel welcome and free.
A walk to London Bridge and Tower Bridge is only minutes away along the banks of the River Thames. There are shops nearby and many places to eat including a weekend food market on my doorstep, the 'Maltby Street Market.'
Bermondsey Square is a five minute walk away and it has an Antiques Market on Fridays. it also has restaurants and a small cinema. Bermondsey Street offers a lovely walk with historic landmarks including 'The Leather Market' and 'St Mary Magdelene's Church'.
I speak fluent French and a little Spanish. I don't have any pets.
Looking forward to greeting you with a smile..

I really enjoyed my stay with Lucy this Christmas. She is a very kind person and very friendly. She also invited me to have Christmas lunch with her. Lucy's home is very close to the center of London and it's easy to go anywhere walking, so it's very convenient. Buses, underground and train stations are also close. I fully recommend this homestay. Thanks for all Lucy
I really enjoyed staying hat Lucy's home. Lucy is a very nice and helpful person. No matter what problem I had, she was always there for me and tried to make everything easy and comfortable for me. She even let me use her private things, when I needed something. She gave me the feeling of being a member of her family and not like a stranger. I felt really comfortable and was sad when I had to leave. If I am visiting London again, I will ask to stay at her home again.
Lucy, if you read this : I love you and thank you for everything! I wish there were more people like you in this world! May God bless you ! Much love ♡
Merci Lucy.
it was a great experience. Lucy lives near the center of London and only 10 minutes by foot from Tower Bridge. Lucy is easy going and a kindly person. She is open for conversation. I would have no hesitation in recommending this host family. Alexandre
I enjoyed my stay with Lucy very much, she´s such a friendly, kind and lovely person, willing to help if you need. She gave me the key to the house and as she said " do what you have to do" so there was no problem with me leaving the house in the morning and coming back in the evening or late at night. She has a cat which is very friendly. Her son lives with her and he´s a nice young man, seemed to me a little bit shy. The part of London where Lucy lives is really nice, it´s close to Tower Bridge and Tower of London for example. I felt like at home with Lucy and I hope it wasn´t the last time we saw each other :)
Merci beaucoup Lucy !

Before my arrival Lucy gave me very useful information how to find the block of flats and the flat she lives in. When I arrived she explained me everything about the house and all the details then showed my room upstairs. I would say it is such a lovely girly room with a table, small mirror, wardrobe and night light by the bed. Lucy left to work early, so did I. It's the reason why we didn't see each other very often. But if I had a question I could easily reach Lucy via whatsapp. By the way high-speed internet is available which was very useful because I didn't buy the local sim card. I didn't cook for myself anything but you have the full the access of the kitchen and can cook whatever you want. By the way the area and the district is great! The tube station is a max 10 min walk, a bus stop with c10 bus to Victoria is almost opposite the house. To sum up I would like to say that I felt so comfortable and relaxed during my stay as if I was at home, Lucy is an ideal host because she is very hospitable, kind and is always ready to give a hand. I strongly recommend this homestay and if i go to London I wil definitely stay with Lucy again.
Absolutely wonderful, lovely and welcoming host. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend :)
Lucy's place is great. It's easy to get around from her place and the location is becoming very "hip." Galleries, good markets and very good transportation into the city by minicab, black cab, bus and either a short walk or ride to the Tube and overground stations. Lucy's an early riser so she gave me a key to the place which was great since I tended to get in pretty late after evenings with friends in the area.
I stayed in Lucy's own room and she stayed in the living room because her other room was also being booked by someone. The rooms are up a small flight of stairs. My room was comfortable and quiet. I had full use of the kitchen (which was helpful as I'm on a restricted diet). There were nice light snacks available, which was appreciated. It's easy to shop for food around Lucy's place too, if there's something specific that you want.
Lucy's son is a very quiet young man who stays out of the guests' way but is helpful if you need anything. They also have a very cute cat. The place is a very good deal and the host is very nice. It's an excellent choice if you're on a budget and need a home base to get around London that's also not noisy. It's a good, low-key stay located in a regular, working class neighborhood (that as I said is becoming quite "trendy"). I felt completely safe in the area and appreciated the peace and quiet after a night on the town. *Definitely* the best home stay deal I found in London.
