I live in a large 6 bedroom house, with one bathroom and toilet together, plus a separate shower room and a separate toilet, and kitchen, and a separate (small) lounge. The house is very quiet and retains the character of the old Victorian houses. There are plenty of shops and links to central London close to the house and the actual area around us, is a tourist destination in itself. You are in the hearth of trendy Hackney
Please note that payment for your booking needs to be made in time by the time you intend to check in. If you are using a UK bank account, you should be able to make a same-day payment, if you have a Euro account, you can pay to our bank account in Spain, however, for some transactions it may not be the same day payment and we advice to pay at least 48 hours prior to your arrival

About the Area
We live in a quiet residential part of London, with plenty of local shops and restaurants only a few minutes away from home. The nearest train stations are Hackney Downs, Homerton and Hackney Central and there are plenty of buses going to town. Hackney has become a tourist destination on its own, and you are not too far from the centre of London either and even closer to the Financial district. Hackney Marshes and Victoria park are also close.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
This is a non-smoking house. We have a large garden and you can smoke there. There is a cat living in the house (although she is out most of the time). And we kindly ask each guest to be quiet in the communal areas between 10pm and 7am. I clean the house each day, guests are kindly asked to rinse the bathroom or shower after themselves and clean the dishes and pots they use for cooking.
Kindly note that payment needs to reach us prior to the beginning of your stay. If you send money from a UK account, we normally receive them on the same day, if you have a European account, you can pay to my bank account in Spain.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
