Will my son will be hosting mostly as I am away for 3 weeks at a time walking the cost of Britain for charity. I am a semi retired nurse and home intermittently when I’m not walking. When I am home I will have 2 small dogs (schnoodles) with me - they are well behaved and non shedding. The small double room is available in our 2 bedroom Westminster flat with use of all facilities. It is a small but modern flat on top floor (6th). There is a lift to 5th floor then one flight of stairs. There is a power shower, 48" Smart TV in living room with access to Netflix and many DVDs. WiFi available. Bedroom has mirror and hair-dryer, chest of drawers, some hanging space and fan. There is a small desk in the room if needed which can fold away. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer etc. Sheets and towels are provided with fresh ones when required. Attractive, quiet part of Central London, 5 - 7 mins from Victoria Station and St. James' Park underground, 10 min walk to Buckingham Palace, 15 min to Big Ben and Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and River Thames - all Central London tourist sites are within easy walking distance. There are excellent bus, tube and overground train links and many bike, E-bikes and scooters available close by. We are surrounded by shops, cafes and many restaurants and 2 small markets. There is a sports centre with gym/swimming pool at end of the road. My son Will is a 24 year old actor, singer and playwright. I am a semi-retired nurse and only work occasionally when home. My son is out a lot otherwise working from home. We like our guests to make themselves at home, be independent, cater for themselves and come and go as they please. It would not suit someone very young or anyone that needs a lot of support. Guests can use the cooking facilities and fridge. We are very relaxed with our guests and very much enjoy meeting and chatting to people from different countries and cultures.

2 small dogs sometimes at home but v well behaved and hypoallergenic.
When I am home and guests are staying I sleep in living room on futon so living room not available when later in evenings and early mornings.

Come and go as you like but try and be a little quiet after 10pm as we don't want to disturb the neighbours.
Minimum age of guests 20 years (if very independent and between 18 and 20 years i.e. internship or here for study, let me know before booking). Also, one parent with a child fine.

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach optimal. Kate ist sehr zuvorkommend und selbst Steckdosenadapter hätten wir keine eigenen mitbringen brauchen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist ruhig und sehr gut gelegen um Ausflüge aller Art ohne große Umstände durchzuführen (Bus & Bahn nur 5min Fußweg)! Wir würden wieder bei buchen!

Un grand merci à Kate et son fils pour leur accueil. Appartement confortable et très bien situé. À seulement 6 minutes de marche du métro Victoria, emplacement au top qui nous a permis de visiter facilement tout ce que nous avions prévu. Je recommande à 100%

appartement assez petit mais largement suffisant pour passer quelques jours sur Londres. Très bien situé, proche de tout et accessible facilement. Les maison est propre et fonctionnel. Kate est très gentil est accueillante, parfait pour être à l’aise. Nous n’avons malheureusement pas eu la chance de rencontrer son fils. Je recommande amplement.

Première expérience chez l’habitant, Kate a été super. Accueillante, facile d’accès, la chambre est propre, équipé de d’adaptateurs,… je me sentais comme à la maison. Je recommande !

I had a pleasant stay at Kate's apartment. Apartment is small, but you'll be outside most of the time anyways and the location is very central with 2 metro stations nearby and the room itself was comfy and spacious. Kate and her son were very friendly and made me at ease at their place. I totally recommend this apartment!

Kate is a great host, always looking after you and very kind. Her dogs a very lovely too! Her house is very well located in the centre of the city, for what we didn’t have to take tubes to explore around. We would repeat for sure!

Kate´s place is in the centre of London, in convenient walking distance to many touristic highlights - if wanted. My stay was very comfortable, the room has drawers, a wardrobe and some shelves, all very convenient and clean, perfect for me. Kate´s apartment can be highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay. Kate and Will are lovely people and they made me feel so welcome and at home. The bedroom has everything you need and the bed is super comfy. And the location is very central, close to transport, shops and restaurants. Thank you for a great stay!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
