Hello! Welcome to my profile :) I've been doing this for over a year and there's a few things that's happened because I haven't set the rules out. Firstly please clean up after yourself, dishes or mess in the bathroom. Guys! Please put the seat back down when you used the toilet and wipe the seat. Ladies please dispose of your sanitry towels/tampons outside in the bins. Please also take bedding off the bed as it helps me for the next arrival :)
Smoking is allowed indoors and outdoors.
First time in London and it was great. Shaleksia and his son are very nice people. The house is in zone 2 near the underground and from there you can go to any part of London you want. The price was affordable and I would stay there again
I booked this is for my daughter I have asked her for feedback 3 times I know she is under a great deal of stress so haven't received reply yet.
However knowing my daughter I would imagine if anything had been not to her liking she would have told me straightaway. So on that basis I would say she must have been content and happy . I know from my experience in contacting Shaleskia she was very very helpful and responded very quickly. My daughter saw the description of property , area and photo etc and area was a plus for her uni and both of us myself and daughter were happy before I booked it..
I got the quietness and privacy during my stays at her home , and I will definitely stay at her home second time in London.
Our 'host mother' wasn't at home when we arrived, but we could go in without any trouble. She became very helpful with my parking card. Tell her in advance if you arrive by car.
We stayed one month in Shaleskia's home. She is a very welcoming person and her little boy is really wise and polite. The apartment is well located just minutes from a central interchange for public transport. We stayed in the large bedroom with access to a pleasant garden. The internet connection was excellent. Breakfast was okay and we were able to use the washing machine, very useful for a long stay. We'll return with pleasure to Shaleskia's home during a next stay in London.
Really home-ish and a great feeling, the host was extremely kind... But boyfriend felt a litlle unliked after an episode where some guest told the host that we did something we hadn't (flushing the toilet, but we hadn't even used it since we came home) would recomend to other guests, but no curtains and no light is the reason for the fifth missing heart.
Shaleskia was an excellent hostess, the house was fairly clean and she had breakfast available. My only complaint would be that the room does not have curtains and the sun would wake me up early in the morning.
Indeed, as previous guests mentioned, kitchen could have been cleaner. However, my room was very good, with no dust at all. Neighbours are quite loud, specially during the morning. The area is full of shops, restaurants, supermarkets (including Tesco and Sainsbury's). Both underground and overground are super easy to access! All it takes is a few-minute walk. Shaleskia is welcoming and her son is easy-going. Would definitely recommend her place to stay.
I liked to stay with Shaleskia. She was very friendly and uncomplicated. When we arrived she gave us a key and a Wifi password. We stayed in the room with the double bed. It was quite small and looked a bit dirty, because there is paint splattered on the floor but it is all right. The mattress however is really soft, so one should consider that if one rather likes to sleep on a hard matress.
Public transport is nearby, there are some nice shops in the area and Shalekia had no requests to the houres we left or came back, so you can plan your day as you wish.
I enjoyed staying there and the prize is great, especially if you consider that it is London.
