I live in a modern, spacious three-bedroomed house. There are two double bedrooms and one single. The property presents a driveway to the front and a green space at the rear, which is good for relaxing. The house is secure and safe. It is situated in a quiet area and well presented in a very clean environment. The neighbours are friendly and the environment is kept alive with the laughter of playing children. There is easy access to all local amenities.

About the Area
My house is just 5 minutes drive from the train station. Buses are available every 15 minutes to my home. The area has a Medical Centre, shopping points, a recreational centre, a park for a short stroll and relaxation and also local libraries. The Manchester museum would certainly inspire those who admire works of art and there are lots of green houses around for those who relish nature's beauty. Three minutes drive on either way from my house will take you to one of two cinemas where you can view movies of your choice. Seeing that Manchester is the sports city, if you like bike riding, you would no doubt want to compete in bike riding or just ride for sheer fun. More than that, in clear view just a few hundred metres from my house can be seen the imposing pinnacle of Manchester Climbing Centre, a major attraction for sport lovers. A little further on there is the massive sports stadium where frequent matches are played, including football. It attracts tens of thousands. It once housed the Commonwealth Games. Most recently a brand new sports academy has been built to hone the talents of young aspiring athletes. An overhead bridge-like arch connects the routes that lead to the Sports Complex.

Leslie is a wonderful person and a kind host who enhances the experience of staying in this simple apartment located in a quiet area. Nearby, there is an original structure: a former church transformed into a climbing center, perfect for sports enthusiasts. Additionally, the bus stop just a few steps from the apartment makes it easy to reach the city center. Thank you, Leslie!

I was happy living with the kind host, but if you thought this was a cheap room, you were mistaken. You'll get a room that's below the standard for the price. Although it's listed as a single room, you'll have to share it with someone else. Except for one, all the photos are misleading—don’t be fooled. There are also various restrictions, and you will need the host's approval for many things.

We were unable to stay in the house because it is very old, with outdated furniture that requires cleaning and refurbishment, especially the mattresses, which is crucial for people with pollen and dust mite allergies. As for the owner, when we pointed out the issues, we called him to inform him of our intention to leave. I kept messaging him on WhatsApp, but he didn't respond at all.

Mr. Leslie is a wonderful person, we got along really well and he answered all my questions about the city with respect. My time at his house was comfortable and really enjoyable.
The house location is great, it is removed from all the usual city noise, in a clean, safe and good neighbourhood, but still close to the city centre and university campus within a short walk (~30 minutes).
I was given space to store my food and I was able to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner.
As a newcomer to Manchester I was able to feel at home while hosted by Mr. Leslie. I wholly recommend this homestay.

Leslie was very nice and helpful. I had a great stay. I was allowed to use the kitchen to prepare my breakfast, lunch and dinner. The district was very quiet and the house was pretty. Location is near bus stops and I needed 30 minutes walk to the city center.

Very affordable and convenient option. You can easily walk to the city centre within 30 minutes, and the Wi-Fi is very fast. I highly recommend staying here especially if you are on a budget.

Very pleasant host. Cheap place to stay after concert. Slept well, only niggle is that could do with a proper lock on bedroom door, would definately stay again though if need a cheap place in Mancester.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
