Hi - I live in a lovely 3 bed semi in a quiet residential area, just minutes away from shops, pubs & restaurants.
House has all of the usual facilities such as washing machine, dishwasher, use of your own fridge / freezer. Please ask about the hot tub as it’s not always available for use.
Even though my house is modern, I love retro ! I have a jukebox (vinyl records - please feel free to use it.... if you like my type of music!), a red telephone box, post box, old kit Kat vending machine, parking meter...... and lots more. My pride and joy is a 1972 MG Midget :)
Free WiFi, smart TVs in lounge and bedroom. Shared bathroom.

I'm about 2 minutes away from bus stop. The local pubs, shops & restaurants are 5 minutes walk away. The metrocentre shopping centre is 10 mins away by car. Newcastle city centre is 20 mins by car. I'm just a few minutes away from the A1

Lovely stay at Susan's home. She was very laid back, charming and welcoming and her home is full of fascinating retro décor and furniture. Will definitely book again next year if possible.

Very warm and welcoming host. Made me feel most welcome in her home. The hot tub was bliss after running the Great North Run. Lovely comfortable bed. Highly recommended.

Bed room was first class.
Lovely bed to sleep in.
Great social 'Craic' down Front Street with the locals.
Loads of choice for breakfast.
Shame I could not stay longer but had to work.

We had a lovely weekend, the perfect host and loved the hot tub. Great location for getting into Newcastle and lovely local bars and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again x

Unfortunately i couldn't make it. i sent a couple of emails before xmas to ask when she would like me to arrive but got no reply. Susan only contacted me the day before but this was not good for me as i have been planning the trip for a while and needed to know everything was good. So i made alternative arrangements. Earlier confirmation would have been better. In correspondence with susan she sounds like a very nice and reasonable person it is just too bad this didn't work out. I was looking forward to it.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
