About the Area

West Bridgford is well known for its classy bars and restaurants which is just a 5 minutes walk from the property. Located south of Nottingham city centre, is home to some of the region's major sporting attractions. Within just a few hundred yards of each other is the third oldest Test Match ground in the world, Trent Bridge, and the City Ground, home to two-time European Cup winners, Nottingham Forest Football Club.

Head through West Bridgford and you’ll find the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont, which boasts an impressive white water rafting course and regatta lake. Water sports aren’t compulsory though, the National Water Sports Centre is situated in Holme Pierrepont Country Park, where you can enjoy cycling, a gentle stroll or a bit of wildlife-spotting.

Given the proximity to such superb sports stadia, there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Explore the streets immediately surrounding Trent Bridge and the City Ground. In particular check out the specialist ales at The Southbank Bar, setting off the sporting theme perfectly by being a designated sports bar. We also recommend checking out Brewhouse and Kitchen, situated on Trent Bridge itself, and perfect for a delicious lunch or dinner. They also match every dish on the menu to a style of beer - pretty cool, eh?!
