We have been hosting for many years with lots of different nationalities. We really enjoy having guests to stay and meeting new people.
I have a husband, Eamon and a 16 year old daughter, Grace. Our home is very quiet and Grace is studying from September to June as she is taking Alevels for the next two years. Eamon is very informative and likes to help our guests as much as possible. He also likes to cook. I am at work most days and always look forward to coming home.

About the Area
The house is located close to the city centre being a short bus journey away. Buses come every 5 - 10 mins. The area is a vibrant mix of shops, cafes and restaurants although the road is nice and quiet.
We are also located near to Cowley road which holds a huge variation of restaurants and shops. Normally there is also a carnival in July ,,however due to Covid, we are unsure if it will take place this year.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Jennifer's place! Firstly, Jennifer and her family are some of the kindest people I've ever met. They made me feel right at home in their beautiful house. The warm and friendly atmosphere throughout my stay was truly special.
Jennifer's husband, Amen, is an incredibly friendly and warm-hearted person. His hospitality and kindness added an extra layer of warmth to my experience. What touched me the most was when they offered to give me a lift to the train station on my departure. It was a gesture of kindness that they didn't have to do but did out of the goodness of their hearts.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at their lovely home and felt like part of their family. They even went the extra mile by occasionally ordering food for me, making sure I was well taken care of. All in all, my time at Jennifer's place was a memorable and heartwarming experience. I couldn't have asked for better hosts, and I highly recommend their place to anyone looking for a welcoming and delightful stay.

Our hosts were really fabulous!
First thing Jen welcomed us with a pick up at the bus stop, so kind!
We arrived to the House that is a typical British house, 2 floors, backyard, really relax atmosphere, we felt home from the first moment we got in.
We git both the available rooms so we could have a private restroom for ourselves. The house is really clean cause Eamon takes such a good care of it.. and of his guests!
As he understood I’d have loved to go to the Thames he got us there for a drink same night we arrived! We went all together with 2 cars and even the 17 yo daughter came along.. she is so nice and welcoming as well! On a saturday he even proposed us to Go Fly kites in a nice place in the countryside with them!
Well, as we were looking for an experience in Family this was really the Perfect One!
Regarding the location, we had to go to Headington every day, with bus #100 it was easy, also going in town was easy as there are plenty pf busses from round the corner!

Globalement déçue de l'accueil de la proprietaire lors du paiement. En effet , elle n'a pas été honnête 3 fois sur les montants à payer des repas . Je pense que en faisant son travail depuis 20 ans, il faut veiller à noter les repas de chacun et ne pas compter des jours en plus comme elle l'a fait plusieurs fois!!! Eamon le mari très gentil et serviable heureusement qu'il était là!! Les chambres sont propres et petit jardin sympa.

Jennifer and Eamon have been spectacular hosts! They have been incredibly kind and welcoming. The ensuite room is thoughtfully furnished and feels very cozy. I would definitely stay with them again.

Our son David spent 9 month in Oxford with Jennifer and her lovely family.
We couldn't have made a better choice for his host family than with Jennifer and Eamon.
Because David was still under 18, we were looking for someone who would look after him, truly cares and provides him a helping hand if needed.
David was warmly welcomed and very quickly became a part of the family.
Eamon was always there to help David, from finding the right things to buy in stores to accompany David when he needed to see a doctor.The location is very close to a shopping mall and with a good connection to the Oxford city center (15-20 minutes). The room has good space and a comfortable atmosphere. David agrees to Jennifers open house statement, since he could use the whole house. David enjoyed having meals with the family.
Besides learning English in school during the day, it's priceless what you can learn from this family in terms of British culture and language.
We as the parents are so grateful to Jennifer and Eamon for giving David such a good time in Oxford.
We fully recommend this host family if you are about to stay in Oxford.

I spent two weeks @Jennifer's place and I had a great time. I truly enjoyed the interaction with Jennifer's lovely family. They really have a gift to make you feel at home and pretty soon you feel like an old friend. Also, I really liked the room. It was quiet, very spacious and cozy, with a nice desk suitable for remote working and a large private bathroom. The location is conveniently close to a shopping mall and with easy access to public transport to Oxford centre. I fully recommend it!

Our family had a very happy time in Oxford, and Jennifer's family was so lovely and friendly. They provided everything we needed, and Eamon had a lot of information. Especially they were very kind to my children. My younger daughter already wants to see them. The past month is an unforgettable memory for all of our family.

I stayed almost one month with Jennifer's family. They were very friendly and easy-going people. They have two rooms, one en-suit and one double room. Both rooms are spacious and very very clean. You can use kitchen, and washing machine. Internet connection was very good. You will have everthing you need. I wish I rented more.

I stayed for 4 months in this spacious room with a private bathroom. I had a wonderful dinner and thanks again for that. With the father of the family we always talked a lot, he has a very broad culture and he is very interesting. I recommend this family to you.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
