We have 2 large houses with spare bedrooms and a spare room downstairs which is also used as a bedroom at times. We have hosted language students, working proffesionals and language teachers for a few years. They are nice clean homes and now that our children have left we use the rooms for hosting. The bus stop is directly at top of the road and shops, pubs, restaurants, library etc are a 2 minute walk. Both gardens are large and 1 is south facing the orher north. Our grandchildren and daughter live next door. The second house belongs to jacquis mum and less than a min walk. There's allways someone around to chat to and although it's a busy house at times. It is not noisy as we all work so it's not a party house. We do enjoy a night out at the weekend. There are bars and restaurants very nearby such as pizza. Indian. Chinese. Burger. Weathetspoon and Italian. As we have 2 houses we confirm which one you'll stay at a few days before arrival . They are both close to each other.

Our house is in a safe are in North end. We have a Tesco on the corner and a bus stop opposite. Very near to shops, library, banks, pubs, restaurants and post office.

I stayed with Jacqui's Mum. She was absolutely lovely and couldn't have done more to make my stay just perfect. My room was so comfortable, the facilities were superb but most of all Mary was an absolute gem. She couldn't have been more helpful, caring and welcoming if she tried. A truly beautiful lady,

I must say a huge thanks for accepting Allan and Jacqui as Homestay representatives. They were very hospitable and met their friends and love ones.
I was not expecting such a plush room! The decor was lovely and the room was exceptionally clean and quiet. I love the amenities that were given and the small bottles of water.
I look forward to the next visit with Allan and Jacqui for a nice break as on this occasion it was for academia.

The place is clean and tidy, easy to be found. You will have anything that you needs in room.

I was made to feel very welcome for my single nights stay at a very compatative rate which included all the basic room essentials I need including a cosy bed room with T.V + tea & coffee making facilities and continental style breakfast + a clean shared bathroom and a nice welcome family get-to-gether in the back yard.
So I fully recommend a welcome stay with Allan & Jacqui - So thanks very much !July 2017

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
