I have a three bedroom detached house in the quiet village of Rainow, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. The village is three miles from the town of Macclesfield where there is an excellent train station providing high speed trains (frequently throughout the day), to both Manchester and London. Manchester is a 20 minute train journey away.

I live on my own with two well trained Cocker Spaniel dogs (female). I am a professional artist working from home and also an Arts Organiser and co-run a local gallery in town. I spend most of my free time with friends, visiting the Peak District and walking the dogs.

I am also an approved Respite Carer for Vulnerable Adults for my local council and as such hold a clear Enhanced DBS Certificate. Which will hopefully reassure parents with young adults on foreign exchange trips that they will be in capable hands whilst studying abroad. It also indicates I have insight regarding students with additional needs.

I have a double bedroom available for one single guest (with television and internet) overlooking a quiet garden, with a shared bathroom. Guests are welcome to full access in the house and garden (kitchen, utility room with washing machine and dryer, and lounge/dining room). Guests are also welcome to have their main meal with me at a small additional cost.

Rainow village is 3 miles from Macclesfield with regular buses into Macclesfield from Rainow village taking 10 minutes. I am also able to offer lifts into Macclesfield from the house at the same rate as the local bus charge.
