We live in a Semi-Detached, four-bedroom house with a large garden.
We are a friendly family with two young boys, (Hirantha (father) - Business Analyst, Tharuka (1998), Dinuka (2002), Rasika (mother) - School Assistant). Tharuka & Dinuka participate in a number of sports and music activities .
We encourage our guests to spend time with us and share our cultures and traditions. We welcome friendly students who would like to share our home, and our way of life with us and exchange cultural experiences.
Additional Info:
A light continental breakfast can be offered at a small cost.
Use of the microwave is permitted if you have any take away food that needs warming.
As HomeStay guests, living with us and sharing our way of life, you will be welcome to our family.
Since we receive bookings from other sources as well, it is not possible to have the calendar updated at all times.
As a Youth Manager in our Cricket Club I am DBS checked and as a School Assistant, Rasika is also DBS verified and we both have clear records.

About the Area
A very residential, quiet and leafy neighbourhood.
We are at the edge of the brown belt. There are lots of green and bare land around our neighbourhood.
Quite a number of bus routes to and around the City are available from our neighbourhood. The tube station is about 5 minutes' bus ride away. Tube takes only about 35 minutes to London, Oxford Circus.

Wi-Fi access is free but it is switched off at night. On occasions you need to have it on, please let us know.
House is on a burglar alarm system. Therefore, it is important that you return home before we go to bed or, let us know if you are staying out for the night or coming home late.

Please keep the bathroom and the toilet clean at all times.
Please only use indoor or bedroom slippers whilst in the house.
Please do not misuse or abuse our friendliness and generosity.
Please follow the recycling guides and waste disposal in place.
Smoking is allowed in the rear garden, not inside the house or room.

My year-long stay with Hirantha and his family was incredibly enriching. From the moment I arrived in London as a master's student to when my wife joined me later, they welcomed us with open arms, treating us like family. Not only did they provide a comfortable living space and invaluable guidance on British culture, but being Sri Lankan themselves, they also shared insights into their culture and lifestyle.
Weekends were filled with music, engaging conversations, and delicious meals, making us feel right at home. Though we're moving on due to work commitments, their home will always hold a special place in our hearts. I wholeheartedly recommend Hirantha's homestay for anyone seeking a nurturing environment where cultural exchange thrives.Host reply

The family was kind thus on the last day I was asked to leave at 10 even if my train was at 5pm and the evening meals were always sandwiches except for one day each week (delicious hot meal).

I spent 2 months in hirantha and famille.il m a very well informed, before the arrival in London. Also, everything was easy.
the whole family was very warm.
housing is a little far from the center, but it's directly by the metro .not .the quality of money changes is excellent. I highly recommend you chance to stay in hirantha and his familyJuly 2016
Ma petite sœur et moi avons passé une excellente semaine en compagnie d'Hirantha, de Rasika et de leurs enfants. Leur accueil fut très chaleureux et amical et les soirées passées avec eux nous ont permis de beaucoup discuter et de pratiquer l'anglais. La chambre était propre, tout comme la salle de bain, et nous pouvions prendre le petit-déjeuner préparé par Rasika à l'heure qui nous arrangeait selon notre programme du jour. Bien que le transport jusqu'au centre de Londres demande un peu de temps, Hirantha nous a indiqué dès le premier jour les arrêts de bus et de métro les plus proches ainsi que le titre de transport le plus adapté pour se déplacer ce qui nous a aidé à nous repérer rapidement et à ne pas perdre de temps.
Nous espérons qu'un jour nous pourrons renouveler ce superbe séjour et d'ici là, nous vous recommandons chaleureusement d'aller chez Hirantha et Rasika lors d'un de vos voyages à Londres !
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
