A bright, cosy room in a semi-detached on a small rural estate with easy strolls to the coast at Porthgwarra, Nanjizal, & Porthcurno, aimed at SWCP walkers, cyclists and public transport users.

Breakfast is simple, vegan and organic, with plentiful homemade breads & jams - served till 9.30 at the latest.
You're welcome to make yourself at home and cook - vegan only please - and to help yourself to hot drinks.

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome but PLEASE DISCUSS FIRST due to my bonkers collie.

PLEASE do note our rurality - especially the lack of local facilities.

You'll have your own private small bathroom with bath & shower over and separate toilet.
Downstairs is a kitchen/diner with south facing french doors onto decking and a back garden with grass and wildlife pond.
There's also a large living room, where I and the canine lunatic tend to spend evenings - south facing and absolutely flooded with light, weather allowing, and with a TV.

I'm usually happy to socialize - or to leave you to your own devices as you prefer.. I have a decent knowledge of the area and can advise on walks and especially, latest bird sightings.

PLEASE DO note the details about the neighbourhood - especially that there are NO shops within easy walking distance and only one place to eat (lovely pub - the Logan Rock Inn - 20 mins walk across fields or along road).

Hopefully you've already noted the mention of the wilful adolescent collie - mayhem rules. if you're looking for serenity, this is not it!

We are a vegan household and ask that you do not bring non-vegan food into the house (canine dinner excepted).

You are very welcome to share an evening meal should you wish ... IF I'm cooking.... please don't base your visit on expectation of being fed! and we can sometimes provide sandwiches/pasties for your lunches.

I take concern for the environment seriously - the house runs on the basic principle of avoiding consumerist and emissions profligacy - eg: don't expect ever so pretty but wasteful single use toiletries or breakfast foods! And consequently we're happier hosting walkers, cyclists and public transport travellers than car users.

About the Area

Trethewey is within easy access of the coast path - variously 15 or 25 mins stroll away in different directions... to Porthcurno and its beach/PK museum, Porthgwarra and Nanjizal. The Minack theatre is a 25 min stroll.
There are cafes open in daytime in the summer at Porthcurno, Porthgwarra, Treen & Trevescan, but only one place for evening meals - the lovely Logan Rock Inn, a mile away at Treen.
As previously mentioned there are NO SHOPS in the village - the nearest are 3 miles away at St Buryan or Sennen (Mayon).
There is a bus stop almost outside the door that serves one route (the 'Lands End Coaster') up from Penzance and round to Lands End & Sennen, and depending on time of year going also to St Just and all teh way to St Ives - BUT PLEASE CHECK (via Kernow Bus Timetables) as the service is reducing year on year....
