I work part time and have a 3 bedroom duplex apartment in a market town at the foot of the Peak District. Great central spot for visiting lots of sites in the North West of England. The town has a great history and a number of museums, a famous working brewery you can visit and 2nd WW air raid shelters to visit. Some lovely old buildings and pubs and coffee shops all within walking distance! A great market place surrounded with Victorian buildings, vintage shops and antique shops. Great central point for visiting other places too like Liverpool Leeds Manchester the Peak District. 15 minutes from Manchester Airport and if you are a football fan two of the greatest football grounds, Manchester United and Manchester City, within 20 minutes drive. Plus one of the biggest Victorian viaducts in the world carries the railway through Stockport. The Plaza Theatre is a wonderful example of a restored Art Deco Theatre and Cafe. Manchester city centre has a number of theatres , concert halls, museums and some top class restaurants.
