Just me in a large converted Manor house built circa 1824. Sir Ernest Shakeltons' family lived here and he stayed here on regular occasions. It is off the main road and has a small driveway leading to a dead end.
The room is a single room, plenty of storage space and new bed. It is a quirky conversion and I have the ball room as my front room. Lots of art and 'things' A large fully fitted large kitchen with all amenities. I am a pescatarian, and love to make vegan/ vegetarian food. There is an island in the kitchen to eat breakfast and a separate dining room. My sleeping space is downstairs. I do use the ballroom!! Tall ceilings chandelier in front room. Garden with a small summer house with a little sea view. You must like dogs and cats. I have 7 cats, you rarely see them all together, only at feeding time and I have 2 dogs. The room has own private bathroom with wc, basin, bath and shower.
Walking distance from the sea and town centre. Easy access to other places in Torquay and Dartmoore. The National express station is 10 mins walk from the house. Easy access to London and a train station Torre 10 minutes from the house.. Direct access to London, Paddington, 3.5 hours. I'm easy going and like to see people happy and enjoying themselves!

About the Area
Close to the sea, town, coach station and sea front. Easy to walk to. All central facilities bars and pastie shops, supermarkets. It is a train ride to totness and newton Abbot. Cockington is a beautiful twee village with thatched cottages and craft workshops.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
