I live in a semi detached house with my husband, three cats and my dog Elsie. We have four children now all grown up and left home but the house is still very lively as we have lots of grand children who keep us busy.
We live in a semi rural location and have two horses nearby which are my hobby so horse riding is always a possibility!
We have a large kitchen where I love to cook meals for friends and family. The guest bedroom is very bright and comfortable with TV and wireless internet. It has its own bathroom.

About the Area
Our house is situated fifteen minute walk from the town and station. We have local shops just a few minutes away where there is a small supermarket hairdresser take away restaurants and a bakers. There is much countryside nearby and the sea is a twenty minute drive away.
Wickford is a small town but we are only a few miles from the beach at Southend and London is only a short train journey .

Gill and Geoff are a lovely couple who immediately made me feel at home. The room is spacious with a very comfortable double bed. I had full use of the house and my own bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gill's place to anyone.

Gill & Jeff made me feel at home as soon as I walked through the door. I was introduced to two lovely dogs and 3 cats. Do not worry none of the animals are not allowed in your room. The room was lovely & quiet, nicely decorated in calming colours so I got a good nights sleep. I had my own shower & toilet. Gill gave me tea & toast before I left early Sunday morning. I would happily stay again.

As I was new to the country I was not afraid any more since I met Gill and her husband and family. They gave me a lovely welcoming, the atmosphere was warm and family like. I was integrated in all and got all support I needed. Now I am still in contact with them!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
