ABOUT ME:

I am a semi-retired master social worker, fitness instructor and writer. I sometimes refer to myself as a 'seniorpreneur'. I live alone in my row home. It's across the street from Carroll Park in the Pigtown neighborhood of Baltimore.

MY HOME:

My love for 'cozy' and greenery meets you with lots of plants, earth tones and bare hardwood floors. There is a shoe rack just inside the door - leave your shoes there or carry them with you upstairs if you prefer. There's a half bath en route to the dinning area. A recliner chair is fixed in the corner near the counter which doubles as a work station, the 4-top tables is on the opposite wall. Feel free to use all kitchen appliances. Complimentary breakfast is included, coffee and tea available as often as you like. I am a lover of the environment an a bit obsessive with my recycling sometimes. There is a green bin near the fridge.

The front bedroom has a queen bed, wing-backed chair, foot stool and side lamp for relaxing or reading. There's a large walk-in closet, washer and dryer (available for an additional $5) just outside; the bathroom then the Sharon Room (back bedroom). Currently this room has a single air mattress with a price adjustment to $20 accordingly, the full sized bed is en route.

THE AREA:

Historic Pigtown is known for its 'quaint' and eclectic character. Just off the I-95 freeway, the house is a little over a mile from downtown and the Horseshoe Casino, M&T Bank stadium are in walking distance. Carroll Park - right across the street, is great for exercising and has a Par Course. Old Major is the Cheers 'like' bar, Breaking Bread our cozy eatery is a few blocks away. Both venues have several vegan and vegetarian options. Close to the newly renovated 1900's Bath House is a great micro brewery and library.
If you are a nature lover (like me), the Gywnn Falls trail picks up in the park and Patapsco State Park is about 4 miles west of the house.

The city bus stops in the next bock and operates about every 15 minutes. Fares range between $1.40 and $1.80, day passes are $4.40. Additionally, The complimentary Charm City Circular operates from Baltimore street and covers a large variety of historic and tourist sites. Famed Camden Yards is just around or mile (max). Ample parking is available along Washington Blvd as well as the side streets. The I-95 Freeway is about half a mile, Greyhound bus station a mile. The MARC train is 3 or so. One way to DC is under $10 and takes 45 minutes. BWI airport is less than 10 miles.
