Very comfortable lodgings.
I really love to stay with Lil and Steve very much! They are so kind, friendly and welcoming. I love the way Lil always cooks huge effort on every meal and Steve has a certain sense of humor so that I make a laugh. I'm sure they are the best homestay family in Champaign!
I really recommend staying at Lillian’s house if you are a student at UIUC or visiting. The room was really comfortable, and c
I was on an internship at the U of I when I stayed with host Lillian for a month. The house is close to bus stop so it's convenient to get to the campus. And Lillian and Steve are really nice and kind! I really felt at home!
Lillian is a great host! The house is a charming place with it's history. It is a nice place to stay and taste the life in Campaign from inside.
Very friendly couple, 2 rooms upstairs, would not be suitable for handicapped.
Lillian was a wonderful hostess! The room was quaint and comfy - she made me feel right at home for my one night stay during Mom's Weekend at U of I.
I really enjoyed my two weeks, the host family was so nice, and always here to help. Great meeting Lillian and Steve.
I'm a student from Taiwan. This summer, I flied to UIUC to do some research. I was thinking about trying the homestay. Fortunately, I found Steve and Lillian online. Steve and Lillian are very friendly to me. We usually had supper together. Lillian is good at making local foods and delicious cake. Steve, also a wonderful cook, makes good use of his tools to cook. The cobbler and the pork he made are my favorites. Both of them are excellent chefs.
Their house is big and clean. I enjoyed staying in the living room and playing with their dog, Buster. After finishing the supper, I always had a walk with that lovely dog. The community where they lived is quiet. I was profoundly believe that everyone would have a good sleep here. If you want to get to Illinois Terminal or campus, you are at the right place. The bus stop is just beside their house.
Talking with them is as enjoyable as talking to my family. Steve is humorous and Lillian always has a smile on her face. I also learned a lot from them, such as cultures, recipes, and pronunciation.
Thank you, Steve and Lillian. I'm glad and lucky to meet you this summer. Everyday I had a great time with you.
To prospective visitors or students, here's the best place to stay!
