About the Homestay
My home is a nice size but feels cozy and is situated in one of the nicest parts of Escondido, close to Lake Hodges and Elfin Forest. Enjoy a comfortable space to stay, relax, and unwind. Guest quarters provide a private room furnished with a work desk and a comfortable executive chair.
Expect to find the charm of an older home with some loving wear nestled in a quiet tree filled neighborhood.
Canterbury Elm wide plank floors throughout the home adds a warm ambience. Escondido may mean "hidden" in Spanish but there's a lot going on plus a charming historic downtown! Location is 30 miles NE of SD 20 min from beaches and coast.

Conveniently near major attractions in North County San Diego, such as San Diego Safari Park (15 mins), Lake Hodges (5 mins), Stone Brewery (5 mins), Wineries (5-10 mins away), Downtown San Diego & Gaslamp Quarter (30 mins), beaches (20 mins), Rancho Santa Fe (10 mins), North County Westfield Mall (5 mins), and Del Dios Highway access a few minutes away, and more.
5 minutes drive to Palomar Hospital, Escondido Auto Park, Vintana Wine and Dine above the Lexus dealership. Aldi, Vons, Big lots, CVS, Target and many other shops and eateries in the Escondido Promenade are just one mile away.
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

5-If you're using a car, after unloading your luggage at the curb you'll be shown your parking place. Please no oversized vehicles boats, jet skis or RV’s/

7-When time do you plan to arrive and check-in? Check in time is after 3:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. I am willing to be flexible for later check-ins.

My Homestay Rules:
Please no smokers. This is a 100% Smoke free environment. Strictly no smoking or vaping inside or on property. No exceptions.
Please remove outdoor shoes when entering.
No 3rd party bookings. Any guest booking must book for themselves with their own account. You may not book for someone else ie: a family member, a friend, no exceptions.
*Due to liability, guests may not bring any visitors or others inside the premises at any time, for any length of time. * Special consideration may be given to guests per the host
Coordination of kitchen space: In general , cooking on the stove top and the oven in the kitchen is not included.
However, guests may use the microwave, their designated cupboard space, refrigerator, filtered water , toaster, electric tea kettle, utensils, dishes, cutlery.
Guests are expected to wash their dishes and clean up after themselves. Guests will be shown where to discard trash and recycling.
*To avoid ants, guests agree to not store perishable food in the bedroom as there is space provided for them in the kitchen. (please use the refrigerator and cupboard.)
Out of consideration and to save energy, Guest agrees to turn off lights when not in use and to not leave water running or dripping and insure appliances are turned off when not in use.
Guests should lock the door when leaving the home. Once the guest is home for the evening, the guest should turn off the porch light which is left on for guest’s safety at night.
Laundry: washer & dryer $5 Load.
Host is available for questions or guidance. During active booking, should guests arbitrarily decide to alter their current stay and leave early; in particular during a Holiday period, guests may not expect a refund for leaving before their scheduled visit is completed due to the host's lost opportunity for another booking.
Other details will be given or shown to guests upon arrival including how door locks, parking, WIFI connection, etc.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
