I arrived to Sam’s place mistakenly thinking that the payment was going to happen in the end of the month and that I could do it by my online banking. A few days after my arrival, Mizue kindly asked me to make the payment. As soon as she said so, I asked Sam for his bank account data and I tried to do the transfer via my eBanking but, unfortunately, I had difficulties due to the incompatibility between the American and the European eBanking system. I informed that to Sam and I proposed a transfer via Paypal. Unfortunately, again, due to some difficulties that I couldn’t and I still can’t understand, the transfer couldn’t be done. I informed so to Sam and Mizue. Then, I asked them to wait until I reach my bank in Europe to find a solution. A couple of days later, Mizue talked to me quite rudely telling me “Hala, this is a business”. Then, I went to the basement of the house (where my room is) quite nervous and I found a roommate in the living room and I explained to him my problem crying and I told him how rudely Mizue talked to me. A few moments later, Sam arrived and screamed at me saying that I was stealing from him. Then, he left and he came back apologizing for screaming. Sam and Mizue are forgiven for their behavior with me but I will never forgive them how they made me feel. They made me feel lonely, miserable, homesick... The incident was the black hole of my trip to Hawaii. But, fortunately, I met great people who made me forget about this incident and made my trip to Hawaii memorable and full of fun and laughter.

This in one hand, in the other, the room is quite spacious and has everything it needs to have. However, the kitchen and the toilet, as they are shared with two other guests, are sometimes quite dirty. Something else to be said is that the room is located in the basement of the house, so the steps of the owners are heard. They have a baby and a dog. The noise that make these last ones was sometimes quite annoying... but well... it is true that they can’t do anything about it.

The location of the house is a bit far from the center of Honolulu but there’s a bus stop around one minute walk and it takes until the there.

Summing up, the two stars are given to the low price and the room. To be honest, I have no idea if I would ever recommend Sam’s room to anyone. But, what is a huge fact, I will never ever be back with them again due to their behavior with me. Well, when it comes to money, masks fall down.

    Greetings.
