Irvine is considered one of the safest cities in the USA (I walk the dog at 3 am); near Disneyland, beaches, parks, theaters, museums, shopping centers, universities and accessible to L.A., San Diego and Mexico.
There are many medical facilities nearby.
We have a large, old, funky home and have been accommodating travelers for over 30 years from 27 countries.
Irvine is an "international" city with 72 languages spoken (who came up with this number, I don't know) but the variety of restaurants/shops and foreign films seems to confirm this.

About the Area
Our home is freeway close to most venues. There is a public bus service that is equipped to transport bicycles. There are also many bicycle trails.
Irvine is a planned community with many parks and local activities. It is very safe and a hub for international events. Seventy-two languages are spoken in Irvine. There are many restaurants, theater productions and sports activities close by.

Many thanks to Davida for making my visit an unforgettable experience! Davida provided lots of excellent advice about what to see and where to go in the region.
I was participating in a convention and on a budget. Trying "Homestay" for the first time. Things worked out really well.
The renovated air-conditioning was a blessing, too!

Davida (and her little dog Matilda) did a wonderful job giving me a place to call home while visiting Irvine. Her house is clean, quiet, cozy, and well-maintained. Plenty of food available.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
