A single family house with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths located in a safe, quiet neighborhood. I provide many amenities for your comfort and convenience, including a light breakfast, coffee & tea, cable TV, Business center with wireless internet access, a computer, and a printer/scanner/fax machine.
My house is located near Historic Downtown Leesburg, restaurants and grocery stores. Park and Trails grace our neighborhood. I work as a Director of Engineering at a satellite telecommunications company. I did my undergraduate studies at Stanford University. I also have an MBA from the University of Michigan.
My wife speaks Vietnamese, Mandarine, and English. She works from home running her own business. She studied at the University of London, where she earned a BS in Business and a Master's degree in Finance.
My wife and I found out about homestay for international students years ago when a friend introduced us to a Chinese mother and her son who needed some place to stay for a month while they looked for a new house. The son studied at the Middleburg Academy. He found it convenient to stay at our place because the school's bus stop is only a couple of minutes from our house. We enjoyed helping the son with his homework while he regaled us with stories about his homeland.
We'd love to host more international students or their parents in the future.

House Rules
Welcome to our home!
We are happy to invite you into our home and we hope you will enjoy your time here with us. We travelled a lot and we respect all cultures. We are keen to learn about you, where you come from, and what life is like where you live. When you live in our home, you become a member of our family. We like to laugh. Our home is a happy home.
GENERAL RULES:
Smoking not allowed indoors.
Please keep our home secure and lock doors and windows when leaving the house.
No pets allowed inside.
You are welcome to have friends visit with you in our home. Please check each time so that we can let you know if it conflicts with anything else that might be planned.
Please keep quiet after 10pm.
• LAUNDRY: Please put your dirty clothes in the laundry basket in your bedroom. And you have full access to the laundry room so you can wash your clothes anytime. I provide detergent, fabric softener sheet, iron and ironing board in the laundry room for your convenience.
• SHEETS & TOWELS: You have been given two sets of sheets and two sets of towels. Once a week, please put your dirty set of sheets and towel in the laundry basket in the Laundry room and start to use the fresh sheets and towel. We will return the second set to you after it has been washed.
• SHOWERS / BATHS: We provide shampoo, soap and toilet paper, towels for you to use. All other toiletries are your responsibility. Please clean up after use as you may be sharing the bathroom with another guest.
Please hang up your towel to dry on the hook in your room.
• FOOTWEAR: We do not wear shoes in the house. Please remove your shoes and leave them in the front hallway.
• KITCHEN: Please wash dishes as you go and clean up after yourself in the kitchen.
• MEALS: Breakfast is generally a ‘help yourself meal’. I will show you where the milk, cereal, eggs, bread, jam tea and coffee is stored. We cook everyday for our family. We cook Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese and American cuisine. Please let me know if you'd like us to provide 3 meals/day.
• YOUR BEDROOM: Please keep your bedroom clean and tidy, switch off lights when you leave. No food or drink (water is okay) to be taken into the bedroom. If you have food in our bedrooms, then ants will come in. Please place your trash in the trashcan provided in the kitchen or bathroom.
• TELEPHONE: You may use the telephone anytime you wish. Local calls (within USA) are free. If you need to make long distance calls, please use your cell phone.
• ALCOHOL: No alcohol is to be drunk in our house unless you are legal age, which is 21. At no time is our personal alcohol to be used unless it is offered to you by us.
• EMERGENCY: If there is an emergency, please use the telephone and dial “911” and have our address handy. Tell the operator whether you need POLICE, FIRE or AMBULANCE.
• SAFETY: Never open the door to strangers. Make sure you know the person. If you do not know them, NEVER open the door, no matter what they say or do. Your personal safety is important to us.
Please respect our home but feel comfortable. Treat it as your own house for the duration of your stay. I strike to be the best host possible, so please let me know if there are any needs or issues so i may address them immediately! I can only help if i am made aware so please let me know how can i make your experience the best one possible.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
