I offer a nice continental breakfast each morning. It consists of juice, a bagel or blueberry muffin, or danish, or another treat, and coffee or tea. I also offer a banana to go or a fruit salad.

I live in a 4 bedroom house with my boyfriend Rick. I have lived in this house for over 30 years. There is a lovely back yard with shady areas to read and relax.
I serve a Continental breakfast daily. We have a cat, she likes to stay indoors and goes outdoors when she wants to. She's friendly.
I love baking and will serve my guests treats from time to time. The room has hardwood floors, plantation shutters, and a ceiling fan. There is a tv. We have WiFi as well.
The bus stop is 5 minutes away. This line goes from here to Santa Monica or in the other direction, to Westwood and UCLA. Connections can be made to the Expo line or to other bus lines.
We enjoy hosting our guests and look forward to meeting you.
Washing machine use is permitted, $7.00 per load, wash and dry.
$50 cleaning fee (per month) for stays over 2 weeks. $25 if less than 2 weeks.
Smoking is not allowed.

About the Area
Our house is just south of National Blvd. and just east of Barrington Avenue. If you go north on Barrington, you will arrive in Brentwood. We are within a 10 minute walk to banks, markets, stores and restaurants. The bus is within a 5 minute walk and will connect to places all over the city. The ride to the beach by bus will take 20-25 minutes.

Laundry can be done for $7.00 per load.
Security Deposit is $25 for up to 2 weeks. $50 for 2 weeks to 1 month.
Second person in room is $30 extra per night.

I had a wonderful stay with Debra and Rick. The room was very comfortable, clean and had everything you need. Breakfast was tasty and so was the cake . Debra and Rick are very friendly and helpful hosts. I really liked our conversations! And the cat is just cute.

I stayed with Debra and Rick for more than 2 months. They live in a safe and nice neighborhood. I got breakfast served every morning (what i enjoyed a lot :)) and they even included me in different activities.
I had such a good time and they really made me feel like I am having a home in Los Angeles.March 2018

Great bed, good room, spacious house, nice leafy well-off neighbourhood – only a short walk to the bus that takes to you to either Santa Monica or the nearest Expo Line train station.
I was usually out all day and come home quite late at night so didn’t have the chance to talk as much as I would with homestay.
But what chances I did have to converse with her and her husband were very good. Debra is nice and generous with cookies too.

I very much enjoyed my stay and the kind, considerate and elegant presence of Debbie and Rick. I wish I had had more time to connect with them as they are both wonderful, interesting people! Their home is spacious, quiet and comfortable with a beautiful garden to relax in and you will surely enjoy staying with them as much as I did!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
