Homestead is a small city in Miami within commutable distance to downtown areas, Miami Beach and Coconut Grove. Key West is further south, a little over two hours drive. A day trip is certainly recommended.
I am an English speaker and enjoy meeting people, traveling, reading and cooking. My home is in a quiet and secure neighborhood. The room available is located towards the front of the house with a lovely view of the street below. It is air conditioned and completely furnished with dresser, night tables, lamps, desk and clock radio. I don't believe that a television should be in the bedroom, but one is available in the family room next to the kitchen. If you need additional amenities, please ask! Also, if you need assistance in planning your trips, I will be more than happy to provide useful tips and suggestions.

This homestay experience made this trip fantastic. Gloria is the nicest host I have ever seen. She even spared her time to pick up me to the train station. The bedroom is clean and comfortable. And also the bathroom. I remember the day I arrived was mothers' day. She even prepared a bunch of carnations in the room. Although I am not a mom,^.^. The whole community environment is safe, clean and beautiful. Moreover, it is near to Miami but much cheaper than the hotels in Miami and not far from Key West.

Excellent stay! The place is in a residential complex with lots of security, the room and the attached bathroom are big.
On top of being hosted, I was driven back and forth from the Tropical Research and Education Center in Homestead everyday (for a little extra). The Host location was ideal.
Also great cooking for diners and breakfast, plus a lunch box was provided for little extra.
The host drove and pick me up to the closest MetroRail stations so I could visit family in Palm Beach and even drove me the airport on an early Saturday morning so I could catch a flight back home!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
