Our 6 bedroom home is only 2 miles from Lake Michigan in the City of Festivals, Milwaukee. All summer long there are outdoor activities and festivals celebrating the diversity of our lovely city.
Our family consists of mother and daughter. We live between two historic districts full of big, beautiful older homes. Since it is a duplex, our home has an upper level that is very private and quiet. There is a small garden on the north side of the house.
As a former English as a Second Language teacher, I taught ESL for many years before settling here in Milwaukee. I also love to cook, bake, take walks, write, swim, skate, sing, and read. My daughter also enjoys these activities as well as drawing and playing with her stuffed animals. We welcome you to our home and look forward to meeting new friends!

About the Area
Our home is less than 3 km from downtown Milwaukee in a fairly quiet neighborhood.
Milwaukee is known as the City of Festivals. All summer long there are festivals almost every week as well as many venues one can enjoy such as a world class zoo, Discovery World, the Domes, and many lovely green county parks.
There are several bus stops within a 2 block range. Buses are usually on time and go all over the city and suburbs.

House Rules
Please lock the front door when you enter and leave the house.
Please leave the thermostat alone; if you need more warmth at night, I have a couple of space heaters you can use.
Keep the noise level down after 9:00 pm as we go to sleep early most nights.
If you would like to invite anyone to visit you, please ask me beforehand and let me know who it will be.
Please feel as if you are at home and use our kitchen, but clean up afterwards as you would do at home. :-)

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
