I stayed at Jacqueline's place for two weeks during the winter holidays. I loved it, the apartment was just like at the photos, and very clean. You could eat from the floor if you wanted :) Basically all the apartment is yours, not only the room, but you can use the kitchen, TV, wifi, etc.
The area is safe and quiet, there is good public transport to Manhattan, in the rush hours it can take up to 2 hours. But normally 40 minutes - 1 hour. There are supermarkets and restaurants in the neighborhood, and it's a nice Brooklyn surrounding with nice houses, nice people.
As for Jacqueline, she is very tidy and neat, the place is perfectly clean. She also has a joyful personality, together with her family, she is very smiley and direct. They invited me for Christmas dinner and I had so much fun. She is also a great problem-solver, you can turn to her with anything, she'll find a solution.
I felt safe there, they treated me like family and it felt like home.
When I find the money (because NYC is not cheap) I will definitely go back to visit and I recommend it. Thank you.

Well i had a good time there but there are some disappointment points. I believe that fees like pick up and washing clothes are expensive
I really don't like the point

    The premises:

It was not just a room available but it was a small apartment inside a three-story row house. The apartment is located in the ground floor and is a completely independent area. The hostess lives in the upper floors. Only the front door and the hallway were shared.
In the apartment, a living room with dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom and 2 bedrooms are available. There is air conditioning and satellite TV. WiFi also works. Coffee, as well as machine, rolls, butter and orange juice, etc. was every day available.
One bedroom has 2 single beds 0.90 x 2.00 m, the other with a bed of 1.4 x 1.9 m. In this bed I have slept. For a person that is oversized perhaps a bit cramped for 2 people.

    The location

The house is located in Brooklyn. It is a residential area where only single-family homes are and is inhabited exclusively by blacks. The area is quiet and everything is well maintained. It is a very safe area. Everything was easily. Up to the nearest shops you had to go a way on foot, about 10-15 minutes. There were many smaller shops and also a branch of a burger chain. Also there is a bus stop, line 42. From there it went to the last station and then got on the train line "L". It is the first or last station of the train. The "L-Train" went directly to Manhattan. Journey time 45 minutes to Manhattan, Broadway / 14th Street.

    The hostess

Jacqueline is a good soul. She picked me up from the airport and got me very helpful in my first steps in New York aside. Without her help the first policy had not worked. She was always interested in helping at all and constantly worried about my welfare. Where she could help, she helped. However, the whole thing without being intrusive. Indeed, she is really nice. Those were the very best experience. If I intend once again to come to New York, then I will certainly stay again at Jacqueline. The premises in connection with the hostess made the stay really succeeded. A highly recommended address!
