Relaxing river house, directly across from Philadelphia, 5 minutes from NE Philly, and about 20 minutes from the downtown area. Our older home has river views by the Tacony Bridge, a large glassed-in furnished porch for relaxing, and is within walking distance to the NJ Riverline with easy connections to PATCO and the city. If you miss your pet, we do have a dog for petting! You can take a folding chair to the riverbank and watch the sailboats during summer months. Also, within walking distance of a nature park, Palmyra Cove.

We offer a lovely newly furnished bedroom with double-bed. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer, fridges and the grill. We have Wifi. Within 5 minutes walking distance of historic Riverton's local restaurants, old time ice cream parlor and a even a gym. If you are active, this is a great area for runners or you are welcome to use my treadmill. If you are less actively inclined, you can laze on the porch or stroll along the river. We are BIG walkers, (dog!), so you can join us if you like.

I LOVE to bake and cook so breakfast is no problem. Desserts definitely come with the territory around here! Guarantee there will always be a home-made baked treat available. Can provide info on sight-seeing attractions, insiders guide to area. I am fanatically clean though dog hair comes with the territory.

This room is for one, two (couple). Bed is a double. SAFE, CLEAN environment. This is not a huge home. We will be sharing our living space. I work from home, so will almost always be here for anything you may need.

We enjoy cycling, walking, dogs, reading by fire, cooking/baking, attending fairs/festivals, fitness, TV, DIY, gardening. Many diverse interests.

I met Carol and her husband, Tom, and Linus, their dog, on my trip to Philadelphia to see Pope Francis. They were all wonderful hosts and made my trip a most memorable one. They are very familiar with the area and transportation and that was a huge help. They did everything possible to ensure that I had a great trip and I really did.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
