Most of our guests are foreign students here for school. We provide a safe, comfortable home with lots of amenities. The bed is a King size memory foam and very comfortable. We are available to help as much as you want but also let you have privacy. Kitchen, laundry, WIFI, cable television. Walking distance to shopping. 5 minute walk to catch the train to Philly.
We are husband, wife. We raised 4 children in this home and they have all grown and moved away. Our house has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2 kitchens. We have outdoor gardens and places to relax. Public transportation is very close. We are an easy commute to Kaplan Language School and ELP at UPENN.

About the Area
This is a very safe neighborhood. Our home is just outside the city limits of Philadelphia. We are near Widener University and an easy commute to UPENN and Kaplan Language school. Very safe neighborhood. We are in a very low crime area. We are 1 minute from bus routes and a 5 minute walk to the train route to Philadelphia. You can walk anytime day or night and no one will bother you. We are a husband and wife who enjoying helping people from other countries.

Keep your room clean. Clean up after yourself. Don't play music or television loud. You are expected to clean your bathroom. There is a washer and dryer in the basement. You can wash your own towels and bed linens.

My six month spend at Debbie's and John's house were great.
The accommodation on the third floor was very clean and inviting. The two dressers, as well as the own bathroom, offer enough space for short and long time renters. The live-in basement is equipped with a kitchen, washer, dryer, an additional bathroom and a comfortable sofa and TV belong to the renter. It offers enough space to cook and serves as a retreat.
John and Debbie, as well as their whole family, took me in with great care. The time spend at home and outside with activities were always fun and I appreciate the time they all took to make my stay as positive as possible. During problems, one of the hosts were by my side to help. Their two adorable dogs are friendly, but not intrusive.
John and Debbie's Homestay is to recommend. Especially students will find a second home with them.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
